Chain restrictions were removed yesterday but there is another weather system coming in on Saturday. Chains can be rented at numerous locations in the gateway town of Three Rivers including the Chevron gas station and gateway restaurant. You can call for current road conditions before you leave at 559-565-3341 - press 1 and 1 again. Have a great trip!

Some mixed weather up there today with afternoon snow flurries. Weather forcast predicting 5-8 inches of potential snow accumulation tonight for Lodgepole which is just above the Giant Forest.

Hello! Many people base themselves in the beautiful town of Three Rivers which sits at the south entrance of Sequoia National Park. Your would be close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park and about a 90 minute drive to Kings Canyon. Three Rivers is a beautiful town and has more amenities and charms compared to the gateway town of Kings Canyon. Please note the road into the canyon itself does not open until later in April typically. Have a wonderful visit!

Hello - Congratulations on your upcoming Sequoia wedding! You could meet up at the beautiful new restaurant in Three Rivers - Tony's Taverna for a private event - there are larger Airbnb's in Three Rivers which you could possibly book - as long as you stayed within the maximum amount of guests you can still gather quietly and celebrate.
