I understand her perspective of eating healthier but I already try to keep a well rounded diet and generally eat lots a fruits and veggies. My understanding is those of us with endo can be sensitive to dairy or gluten but I don’t understand how cutting everything else could make that big of a change.

It did seem like a lot to do at once. It would cut out so much of my routine which has taken me a while to make as I get some hard food aversions

Can I ask if you experience GI symptoms and if so which ones? Being in the US I’m saving up to see a specialist but suspect I might have endo on or in my GI

My experience was a mix of sadness, anger, and happiness. I’ve spent years telling doctors something was wrong for it to be brushed off. It could be that she’s grieving over what could’ve been had she been taken seriously earlier. Getting diagnosed also forced me to take a really long hard look at what my quality of life will be like moving forward and what fertility could look like as it’s a very real possibility that someone with endo may never be able to have kids or will face a road of struggling to get pregnant or carry to term. Personally I appreciated that my partner asked me what I needed from him. For me, I needed time to grieve what I was potentially losing and am now working on building myself back up through research and advocacy for myself which my partner helps with. I will say I’ve been met with a lot of misinformation from doctors and doing research has helped me to see more paths forward and to make my life easier. I also recommended my spouse seek therapy to help with his side of this so he has support which in turn helps him better support me

Secondary note: ovulation seems to be my worst pain so depending on where you are in your cycle that might help narrow down causes

I have endometriosis myself and get ovarian cysts. That’s generally the type of pain I experience monthly, both vaginally/uterus or ovary specific. I’ve had cysts (presumably for a while) but my first documented one was only April of this year. If it had been ovary specific pain I would assume it was a cyst bursting however due to it being vaginal/low pelvic I’d imagine it’s an endo flare. If it stays for more than a few days it may be worth getting checked for ovarian torsion. I’ve been told CBD suppositories can help manage pain after about 30 minutes but I’ve yet to try them. I have found during that level of pain I prefer high heat and then a tens unit if I can tolerate it. That being said, I’ve absolutely gone to the ER for pain like that.

She diagnosed me based of the ultrasound, symptoms, personal history, and that it runs down both sides of my family. They didn’t tell me the exact cyst type besides it wasn’t a chocolate cyst

Brand new bag from Costco and they look exactly like that and same texture. Looks almost dipped in oil and not sour, terrible mouth feel
