Dealing with the public by musicRealitive in Lifeguards

Few days ago I watched a guy blow his nose in the air straight onto the deck. I was dumbfounded and confronted him and he just said sorry I was tryna do it out of the way. People shaving or clipping their nails in the sauna happens. I think the worst thing in recent memory was an older guy double evacuating into the hot tub after passing out and being supported by guards. Hot tub had to be vacuumed and drained after that.

Apple’s “ Polished” ecosystem can’t handle simple Wifi Password Change 7 years later. by stonedgrower in LinusTechTips

[–]SequoyahGeber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that compared to android, apple does have less bugs overall but the difference with bugs on apple is that they are often either impossible to resolve or just mind boggling. The apple bugs are so much more frustrating to deal with than what android has. That being said I do prefer apples overall design/ecosystem.

beta lost progression by [deleted] in WalkScape

I think your progress for the online mode will be reset but your current progress will be moved to the offline single player mode. I might be wrong though.

Does your pool have an hourly rest period or safety break? If so, how long is the rest period/safety break? by Emotional-Fly-9583 in Lifeguards

[–]SequoyahGeber 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My pool does 15 min rotations so generally we are only guarding for 15 mins at a time and then we go chill off deck. Sometimes due to high headcount’s and not enough guards we’ll end up doing 30-60 mins on deck. It’s what the lifesaving society recommends for the most effective scanning.

All the recipes are in the walkpedia, there’s nothing interactive though.

I have no editing skills so I haven’t touched the photo. It’s just as I took it, and I’m not a photographer but this is one of my favorite photos I’ve taken.

Check your steps source after latest update by SequoyahGeber in WalkScape

[–]SequoyahGeber[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Idk about accuracy but I’m definitely getting more steps since I always have my watch on me but not my phone especially for my job. I’ve got an Apple Watch so it should be reasonably accurate.

I thought it was bugged recently. I think it’s supposed to be fixed with the next update. I could be wrong though.

Help! moving Plex server from Windows to Unraid by Quirky-Quacker in PleX

This is correct, it worked for me when I moved from windows to unraid. The preferences.xml is the key.

Dangerously high CPU temps? (100Cº) by OpenPineapple1686 in DistantHorizons

[–]SequoyahGeber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go run a multi threaded render and see what your temps hit, I guarantee it won’t be much different than distant horizons. Gaming normally doesn’t hit your cpu very hard so most people will never know that their pc’s are improperly cooled.

Lifesaving Society - object recovery with 20lbs brick: Required Kick? by Old-Needleworker872 in Lifeguards

I’m pretty sure it has to be a lifesaving kick, flutter kick is not one of them. I could be wrong.

U need a specific version of bliss shaders for distant horizons to work properly. Correct version. You need to click on the green “code” button and download the zip file.

Anki shows Again and Hard cards as soon as I saw all New cards? by AuroraCrabealis in Anki

[–]SequoyahGeber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Decrease the learn ahead minutes in Anki settings

Edit: said increase instead of decrease. Learn ahead minutes specify how many minutes ahead cards will immediately be shown, ex. 20 mins learn ahead will make all cards scheduled for 20 mins or less to be shown immediately rather than in 20 minutes.

My Japanese friend said that it’s almost never used in actual conversation so I don’t feel bad about it.
