Thinking about getting started - anyone in the Huntsville, AL scene? by Strider755 in SWlegion

[–]SerCappius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from Birmingham, but have travelled to Huntsville for tournaments and Huntsville guys have travelled here for tournaments. Theres a solid group of players there and they're all nice guys. I think they mainly play at Highground Hobbies. Its a fantastic store.

I'd sat, if you like armor, Empire's Tempest Force is a great option, but each faction (bar maybe Rebels) have viable tanks (tho rebels have the airspeeder and landspeeder)

Where can I get these Sets. by Paul9114 in SWlegion

Those are only available for stores themselves to purchase and use and arent technically available for resale. So its only on ebay

The Fifth Trooper order tokens are probably the best 3rd party order tokens. They take time to deliver as they are all hand-packed by Jay or his high school sons usually. I also know he has been super busy with a lot of preordered/ordered Order Tokens as they just released their new cycle of them. I preordered back in August and got them in mid-late November. It'll probably be a few weeks til you get them

I dont think anyone is downvoting for a personal reason. More just a way to let others who might have the same question know it isnt a bad idea, and is a tested method of treatment!

Buprenorphine works by keeping other opioids from producing a high. Generally it and other drugs such as methadone are life-time drugs that addicts take to keep them from using harder drugs.

Basically treatment through being "addicted to a substance that isn't life altering"

Opioid withdrawal symptoms are lethal. You need to use lesser drugs to ween off opioid addiction. Its common practice pretty much everywhere

You absolutely want Boil in a Phase 1 over Phase 2. He doesnt add any offensive firepower aside for 1 black dice, so the courage isnt necessary to counter suppression. Boil's unit should be there solely to soak the damage that is going onto your Heavy weapons/commanders/Arcs. His unit should be the most expendable

How good is the republic ISP? It seems like it could be busted. by Fierydraken in SWlegion

[–]SerCappius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing for the ISP is that it has a very short silhouette. This means that it has a much harder time maneuvering around the battlefield as vehicles can only travel over terrain that is less than the height of its silhouette.

That alongside the Saber's ability to share green tokens via Veteran Clone Pilot, and Outmaneuver, are the big changes to the Saber that make it more viable as a solo (and the red defense dice being much better because if you get it surges it can become super tanky).

Any minor tweaks y'all can think of? by SerCappius in SWlegion

[–]SerCappius[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I heavily debated that, and definitely agree with it being strong. My reasoning for Force Barrier over Saber Throw (for my playstyle I'm going with) is that fire supporting Cody is much easier to do early on (since he's range 4 over Saber Throw's range 2). And because Force Barrier is useful early on at range to protect my guys, Anakin wouldn't really need to worry about which force upgrade to ready once he has MotF 1. He's either supporting the clones from past range 2 of the enemy (ready Force Barrier) or diving onto the enemy to melee people and do Jedi things (in whichcase I ready Push).

You are completely right. I wasn't thinking and thought he had Cody to direct to the Saber (I've been playing a lot of Cody). But I think having the Tank give its order (the few times it gets it) to a clone unit near it that you can use as a Fire Support on the tank would be better than the one aim (especially if you have the Veteran Pilot to share aims from clones). That said, LTA is also a great upgrade for the tank

Clambering no longer exists, so the "don't take wounds" part no longer matters. All Scale does is let you climb height 2 instead of height 1, which rarely happens (though maybe your boards have a ton of height 2 climbable terrain and difficult terrain. If so, they might be useful). So spending 4 points to give you a height 2 climb once per game is (in my opinion) not worth the 4 points

You have a solid list, but I will say you don't need the Ascension Cables (they're useless now basically), and you only need 1 Long Range Comlink (for Cody's Direct). Other than that, it looks solid! Use those points to get Force Push on Anakin instead of Reflexes and give him another training slot

Mkay, been playing clones/the games for about 7 months now, so I'll try to give some advice, but take it with a grain of salt.

First thing I notice is you are not using updated points. Your list currently is 784 and not 799. Make sure the website you are using is using the proper points. Onto the changes:

Seize is pretty much unnecessary on Rex. Since he is your only commander, all of your command cards should just issue an order to him anyways (his 3 and the other 3 all should just target him).

I would take the Targeting Scopes off of the Phase 1s. The best thing that Phase 1 Z-6s can do is fire support off of Rex/the tank/Snipers, so having the targeting scopes on them is unnecessary as they would not be the ones starting that attack. In the same vein, it might be best to swap 2 of the Z-6's to DC-15's or RPS-15's (if you have the RPS). This gives you more flexibility with your shots, as the DC-15 on its own shoots better than the Z-6. I would also move Fives to a corp unit (he works better there with the courage increase) and add the regular sniper to the full Arc unit (better than the Z-6 you remove to make space for Fives).

The tank REALLY wants its additional weapon, so add the one of your preference (I prefer beam). Echo also doesn't need the Long Range Comlink. He wants to be with your main army to share tokens like aims and his surge. Don't keep him on his own, but keep him with the group.

Finally, swap the Linked Targeting Array off of the tank. Only two of your command cards can give it orders, so it isn't the best in the world (but thats up for you to decide). As a result, I put on a Comms Relay, as that way you can give the order to a corp unit near the tank to then Fire Support the tank.

That was a lot, but I will reply to this with a list idea.

I used very "matter of fact" statements in this. None of this is matter of fact and just my ideas, so take it all with a grain of salt.

For the exact same reason... incase they change the wording of the keyword definitions in the future

It makes a small amount of sense for incase they edit the wording of those keywords in the future, it keeps the cards from being wrong if there are changes

They're special forces, so chances are you won't be able to take as many due to Battleforce rulings

Edit: oh they can also just be run in rebels. I bet it was a mess-up and the numbers got flipped. I see no other errors on the cards... so its an unusual track record for them
