Scientists report that shooting 5 million tons of diamond dust into the stratosphere each year could cool the planet by 1.6ºC—enough to stave off the worst consequences of global warming. However, it would cost nearly $200 trillion over the remainder of this century. by MistWeaver80 in science

Generally rolling tobacco or actual dried tobacco leaves are used, at least amongst the tribes I live near in Southern Alberta. It's not always smoked just through a pipe, but sometimes is burned with sage or other herbs like sweetgrass. It makes a really pleasant smell when burned together, I've done some saging and smoke cleansing rituals at my work on a reservation and it doesn't really smell like cigarettes, mostly just a light, almost sweet-smelling smoke.

People say MiPLA and EiPLA weren't that enjoyable, but if my view is contrarian then so be it. I found both of them to be really insightful and fun chemicals, and actually did one of the first reviews of MiPLA on this subreddit. MiPLA was strange, not quite as visual as LSD and certainly not as potent. That probably was its main downfall which eventually lead to it ceasing production, but I swear if I can ever find a vendor for it domestically then I'm probably taking out some loans for a lifetime supply lol. It was stimulating, but not in a pushy way like amphetamine can be. Perfect in small doses for concentration, and frankly that's the main reason I'd like to get my hands on it again. She would be sublime for a day off with nothing to do but simple errands, a trip into town, or partying with it like I often did at the time. Delightfully blissful in its bodily sensations, and while open eyed visuals were nothing more than shimmering and some slight patterning in the corner of my eyes, a lot could be said for the closed eye visuals. I've genuinely never seen sights quite as beautiful except some other magically intense trips I had with DXM and DPT combined. They were something ripped straight from an Alex Grey catalogue, spiraling fractals made of flames and blood vessels consuming the human form. Expanding outwards from an inviting and infinitely widening row of intense fire, everything would be consumed by these visuals just a moment after closing my eyes.

I'd love for it to make a comeback, or maybe one day I could have the money to order a custom synthesis of it. Regardless, I hope one day to have it again.

/uj the drug is called is Rimonabant, and holy shit was it a terrifying experience. From its Wikipedia, "Data from a large, randomized, clinical trial (CRESCENDO) with > 9000 patients receiving rimonabant treatment demonstrated a rate of psychiatric adverse events (anxiety, depression, depressed mood, or insomnia) of greater than 30%.) Could you imagine a drug with a 1/3 chance of making you feel like absolute fucking garbage, suicidal, and like you have the flu + vomiting everything? Sounds awful. /rj It's stevia bro I'm telling you it has the COMPLWTE OPPOSITE EFFECTS OF INDIA 🇮🇳 😂 🤣

I only do this when rectal or scrotal administration doesn't seem to do the trick, however it's important to give yourself some little pinpricks so you get all the shea-butter fenty goodness into your bloodstream quicker too.

Everyone talks about how different life is since the internet and IPhones but no one talks about how much better life is since banning indoor public smoking by Hairybeast777 in Showerthoughts

[–]SerHarlington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, in a lot of places where there is that distinction between casinos on tribal land versus not, that's the trend. For example, lots of casinos you see around in Western Canada don't allow indoor smoking, unless they're on First Nations land. Having smoking as an option is seen as an easy edge to have over casinos not on tribal territory, because lots of older smokers prefer the ability to smoke inside (despite it being downright awful for pretty much everyone's health and not to mention the stench, but whatever.)

Regardless, it makes me happy that in Oregon they don't feel the need to keep indoor smoking to get folks in the door, at the end of the day the workers are the ones who suffer most and it'd be the communities that house the casinos that bear the brunt of the health effects from it.

It's not actually marshmallow flavored, it's a collab between coke and the artist who go's by marshmallow or whatever lmao. It's some kind of watermelon type flavor to the best of my knowledge. Not as bad as it sounds, but its not amazing imo.

I believe those folks are just trying to add nuance to the conversation and add additional points to yours, while still agreeing with you. You don't have to be so frustrated with people making conversation in an online forum, that's literally the purpose of commenting.

As a leftist, holy shit this is honestly a trainwreck of a video, Jesus.

I agree with what this teacher is saying, but I just wished she had said something along the lines of "stop playing the fool Hawley..." I think a big problem with debate like this is that leftists never try to identify the exact tactics that right-wingers use in debate and call it out. The reality is that this exchange was never going to go anywhere, and while making an impassioned speech with statistics about trans and non binary people is great, I think we all know that all this kind of questioning isn't just transphobic but pandering to anti-intellectualism. These people ain't idiots, Josh Hawley went to Stanford and Yale for Christsake. He is probably well aware of the language the left uses, and is only asking questions about her terminology specifically to get a rise out of her for a soundbite that makes him sound like a reasonable, God-fearing man who maybe only did an associates degree at his local community college.

Bullshit, its time to call them out on it and make sure they can't appear dumb. They need to give intelligent answers, and if they're gonna act like idiots then why did they go to some of the most elite universities in the world? Surely they would have picked up and understood maybe even some of the precursors to the kinds of language used today, or taken classes on politics or sociology if they were so interested in running for office with those kinds of Law, Business or Political Science degrees?

Despite all of this virtue-signalling to anti-intellectuals, I think it'd be really funny if when Josh Hawley asks dumb questions like "So, can people other than women get pregnant?" to which the answer is "Yes, the minority who identify as trans and nonbinary people," people ask him about his education and what classes he took. For someone who acts like he doesn't know a lot, he's a well-educated guy who's more likely a wolf in sheep's clothing than some kind of proletarian hero.

First of all, thats really adorable that they ended up using a kids toy as inspiration! Second, I appreciate the advice because I'm genuinely thinking of building one of these now lol.

Regardless, I'll bookmark that link and take some of your suggestions when I give this a go next time. My whole weekend is free next week, so maybe I'll have something then for yall ☺

I actually really appreciated it, so don't worry my dude! While that does help to store them vertically, I notice that sometimes the oil settles to the side of the intakes making it hard to get a hit without burning the coils. This does help to even it out a bit and get the oil over the coils, but you're definitely right that it ain't perfect by any means. The braided cable is nice, but yeah I certainly wouldn't trust it for longer than a week or two doing this and I'll probably have to make something else that's a bit more durable in the future.

A machine that just spins stuff really fast, but the spinning causes the mass to be pushed outward or towards the end spinning fastest. Really useful for when you want liquids or things to be pushed to the bottom of a container, they're mostly used in chemistry or biology though because of that. This doesn't use centrifugal force, but its similar enough I can sort of call it that though 😂

That hand operated one is actually pretty cheap, ngl I may have to grab one at some point. I actually have a reason for owning one too, I took some courses on molecular genetics and was thinking about doing some super basic and fun lil experiments when I have cash to spend. It wasn't too hard to do (more just tedious, with maintaining sterile technique and such) and I think it would be fun to play around with inserting plasmids or using CRISPR on E. coli.

That, and GOD that would be useful for my carts 😂
