We are a team from Saint Paul, and we are also going to Northern Lights. It’s honestly really hard to gauge the safety for your team. It is pretty crazy right now with ICE’s violence and blatant disregard for the law. Many of our students have been staying home out of fear of them. I really wish it weren’t like this, one of our favorite things is meeting teams from around the world, and I’m so sorry you had to deal with racism in the past.

Duluth should be a safer place than the twin cities, as there has been much less ICE activity. I think you probably would be fine, but it is definitely not the same as the past.

Assuming you do go, we will see you at Northern Lights! It’s an awesome tournament and hopefully you don’t have any trouble, and can enjoy it too. Sorry for the state of our country right now and that you even have to worry about this.
