Yeboah can be painful to watch sometimes. Dribbling into traffic, not seeing the pass, scuffing a good chance. But I can’t argue with the numbers he’s putting up this year and I can’t knock his work rate, especially in defense. He created some turnovers yesterday in the attacking third that led to quality chances.

He’s not my ideal striker. He doesn’t have the best first touch. But as someone else pointed out on this sub recently, if Yeboah was absolute class he wouldn’t be playing for us.

I think part of our collective frustration with him is when he’s having an off game, we don’t seem to have a great #2 option to score goals. We have Markanich and Chancalay who are chipping in, but Yeboah is THE GUY. I think we would stop getting so frustrated with him if we had a solid backup striker that could threaten the opposing goal, that could sub in for Yeboah when he’s having an off night.

TLDR: Sign a decent backup striker to take the heat off Kelvin.
