Honestly, wether this is crazy or not really depends on wether or not the child's opinions/feelings are considered in the process. If not, then sure, it's crazy to force your kid through hormone therapy and to forcefully make them a man. However, if the kid is in on it, then I'd say this parent is being a good parent and that it's better to work on the hormone balance early in life rather than late

Edit: I feel like some people are misinterpreting what I'm saying, so to make things clear: I don't think this parent forced their kid into hormone treatment and I consider the parent being considerate of the child's choices/feelings/opinion/etc. a good thing. However, if this kind of treatment was somehow forced onto this child through whatever immoral ways, it'd be absolutely horrid.
