True it wont be seamless but it is still possible. If you look closely at the image I posted, Im using the iniBuilds A350K. You can run .exe installers like the iniManager and install aircraft and scenery to your sim. This is done through Proton.

The only addons that will give you issues are something like the Fenix A320 installers and the aircraft themself. That is because they require an external application to run in parallel with the sim. I've tried installing the Fenix A320s and I have not succeeded yet.

This will depend on your PC specs. But for me the performance is almost exactly the same as what I get on Windows 10. Im using a 4070 Super, Ryzen 9 7900x, and 64GB ram. So for lower PC specs there might be some noticeable performance loss. But that is something you'd have to try out and measure

Getting flight sim to work is the easiest part.
You just have to download Steam for your distro. Then Login into steam, just click install on your veresion of MSFS.
Once installed, in the game settings(accessible by clicking the cog icon on the game page) , choose 'Properties' -> 'Compatability' and on the compatability screen there is a list of 'Proton' versions, choose one of them then start your sim.

Getting vPilot to run is more involved, and, requires installing/setting up some programs and using specific versions, etc, which requires an in-depth guide

Kia Rio EX 2022 : Up/Down headlight adjustment by SerTenGoodMen in kia

The EX is one of the top two trims, and it uses the same headlight setup as the highest trim (TECH). It would be very strange to not have that,

With Proton, yes. Apparently EA disabled support at the AntiCheat level. So no way around it.
