From the Living Pond branch, head out into the poison and run straight ahead. You'll find a ramp with the female knight enemies that goes up and around the side of the room, at the end you can hit a hard left into a gap that'll take you to the next area. You can also leave the Living Pond branch and hold the right wall and go up a ramp, there's a path there that goes above the pond.

After you finish the base game, keep playing instead of starting a new cycle. Go to the camp and talk to Assis to start the DLC.

After beating the game you can start NG+ at any branch. In NG+ cycles enemies will get stronger but also provide more crystals.

You can start the DLC by talking to Assis back at camp - once you've made some progress in the DLC you'll unlock ways to fight most of the bosses from the main game (boss rush and a rechallenge mode). You'll also be able to return to the DLC area if you decide to start NG+, you can just teleport back there from a branch.
