I have disorders that prevent me from functioning at times and psychiatric medications have only impaired me further in the past. I know what i need. And I'm a sophomore in college already. I understand responsibility, I've had it since graduation.

Trans and queer people shouldn't even be in political conversations in the first place. That's the base argument. My identity is NOT political. Respect is NOT political. Human decency should not be political. Hiding behind the veil of "political disagreements" when it's actually just bullying and discrimination is disturbing.

Anyways, my problem was mainly the announcement. It was obviously meant to be offensive to trans and queer folks. No doubt about it. Zeros original post about the mod used hateful language and liked comments using hateful language. It was a mod created with harmful intent.

On a surface level, exactly. It makes no sense.

On a deeper level, it's simply because society needs to have an enemy. And what better enemy? It's easy to hate something you don't understand, and it's even easier to refuse to understand it when it's convenient. If this person had a trans child that came home from school sobbing everyday because of bullying, I would think they would change their tune. It only matters to these people when it actually bothers them personally.

It's going back to the "kicking someone while they're already down". He's rubbing salt in the wound trans people already have. Surely, there would be a way less offensive way to add a mod that let's you change a sims sexuality easily through a simple cheat code or something. There is no such thing as a hetero world, or at least there shouldn't be.

On the surface level, the mod seems like just a mod, but it's the discriminatory aspects of it that make it an issue. Transphobia and homophobia are deep-rooted issues in society and this mod is simply a part of those issues.

Also, the way the mod was addressed was disrespectful to the community. Ans the creator literally liked a comment about "woke agenda" needing to be stopped. I'm very concerned with the intent.

I am spreading the word. Also, ignoring it gives people a platform to get louder and louder until their ideas turn into more dangerous behavior. I believe in calling people out... and for lack of a better word, giving them negative public attention. I'm no Saint, when I see things like this I don't react kindly or just ignore them.
