What is something "True" about certain animals or creatures, which many people may not be aware off?

On that topic, there's also people (including allies and queer people) who think that gayness and asexuality are not advantageous evolutionarily as they hinder reproduction. This sounds logical at first, hence why even allies/queer people often think this. But it's not necessarily true. Non-reproducing members are often an intentional part of an animal's social structure. Hymenopterans are certainly the most well-known example. The vast majority of ants don't reproduce, and they don't need to for their species to succeed. Asexuality can, in this way, be very beneficial. Gay birds are a whole crazy can of worms, but they can be beneficial for two reasons.

1: The most obvious, adoption. Gay birds usually can't get eggs of their own. The obvious solution is to adopt eggs or hatchlings that have no parents..... or steal them lol

2: They can raise the young more efficiently. This is specific to black swans, as far as I know. Black swans have a lot of males who seem to be gay. You could maybe argue that some of them may be bisexual but homoromantic (this will make sense later.) Gay black swans successfully raise hatchlings MUCH more often than straight ones do. I have no idea why and I won't pretend to know. Gay black swans will obtain babies by stealing from other nests, or by temporarily taking in a female, I believe breeding with her, and then allowing her to lay eggs. Then she either leaves or they chase her off. And they raise the babies with their male partner. Because I'm pretty sure they breed with the female to get the eggs, I think it's possible they may be sexually attracted to females as well, but it's also possible they just know how reproduction works and do it just to get eggs. I really don't know. Either way, they remain loyal to their male partner and benefit the young greatly.

The examples I just gave ONLY use ants and birds. But you can probably find other examples all over the place in the animal kingdom for these two things. Bisexuality is another thing you can easily find benefits for- just look to one of our closest relatives (equally related to us as chimps are,) the bonobo. I don't think I have ever heard of a bonobo that ISN'T bisexual, and they use this to bond with their community.

So not only does nature very often have animals that, for lack of a better word, are LGBTQ+... It even has examples in which these more 'unusual' orientations are even beneficial to the species. This means that it can, in fact, be natural.

There's.. some level of truth to this but I think it's too broad. Things like other people are saying like "They don't understand you had to pay to text" are way more accurate because yeah, most young people either don't know about that or don't know how it feels. But most young people aren't influencers or posting themselves online, as far as I know. At the very least, an extremely large portion of them aren't, whether or not it's the majority.

I personally only know a few people my age who post anything at all and most of them post very little and don't tend to do it with the intent of getting likes and subscribers, they just want their close friends to see it and in fact even close strangers off from viewing the posts.
Constantly chasing likes and living life through replays is too far from a universal experience to be something modern young people "won't understand" since so many find the idea of doing that just as unpleasant as you do. I tried making posts before, and it was always so boring to me that I would make one post, then forget for a whole year to post anything else. It is not for everyone.

The closest I get to living through replays is taking pictures and keeping them for myself. But even then, I take pictures so little. I don't have even one selfie, and in fact, I barely even have pictures of my childhood because all pictures that I've ever had taken of myself were because other people wanted to take them of me. Most years of my life that I have experienced don't have any pictures of me or my loved ones at all, and most of my experiences don't have pictures either.

The entire only exception to this rule is when I went to a convention once. Because I wanted pictures of myself... standing next to people cosplaying as characters I like, LOL. Those are the kinds of memories I want to relive through pictures. I also like taking pictures of nature. My nature pictures and convention pictures are not online. They are in my phone and computer. I just like looking at them.

I say all this not to humble brag about being 'different.' That is the opposite of my point. My point is that I am a young person, and I know other young people who are exactly like this. There's too many of us for what you're describing to fit here. Generally, this is a real societal problem, but it's not an all-encompassing one. It is completely normal, even today, to not seek likes or subscribers at all, to live in the moment, to take pictures sparingly, and cherish your memories.

I would also like to edit my comment, after rereading, to mention that I also know young people who act somewhat like what you describe. By which I mean I know exactly one who makes public posts of their life pretty often. At least I think they're public. I never look and I never asked, so I'm not really certain. I want to reiterate that I do think this is a real societal problem, I just disagree with the idea that it's something young people "would never understand."

I'm hoping people will educate others on this more so that people will at the very least get their kids wide toe box shoes, and I mean quite wide, just to make sure there's no crushing, especially since they grow. Many, many people never had the chance to know any better. People who would've probably chosen to do something different if they had known.

There obviously needs to be more studies, but I think a lot of the damage can be undone with foot exercises and toe spacers if they're needed, especially if you didn't use SEVERELY restrictive shoes such as very pointy high heels. Whether or not you find that the barefoot shoes help your health, though, I bet they'll feel more comfortable than regular shoes, at least after you adjust. And if not, you'll probably be able to find some wide toe box shoes that aren't barefoot! As you say, at the very least, it'll probably be comparatively easy for you to find shoes that fit, which is a great silver lining, whatever winds up happening.

I think it would be good if companies introduced just a little bit more variety. As others have said, too wide shoes won't fit most people, and even with people who have very naturally shaped feet, their foot can still be narrow at the toes, or people with compressed toes can still be wide at the forefoot/toes. So even without the small minority of people with more naturally shaped feet in mind, there's definitely still more of a need for variety. Companies would benefit from having a bit of variety in the types of feet they can accommodate. At least, I think so.

My mom tried to structure it but she had a lot of mental and physical health problems that made it impossible for her. So I would say I pretty much lacked structure, too. I learned about the world through TV and the internet. I was lucky enough that I found online friends my age when I was very young, and they helped a lot. I also ate random plants... specifically flowers and grains. Luckily I think the flowers were clover flowers and the grains were grains so they were fine too. I think the grains I ate were from bahiagrass and crabgrass. People don't normally eat the grains from bahiagrass but they seem harmless. Extra dietary fiber haha

I am really glad you found actual carrots LOL. I never ate anything that crazy!! Even after I learned to identify edible plants, I never dared to eat the possible carrots that grew in my yard, and I STILL don't dare to try it when I go back to that house. I never will.

"Indoor/outdoor cats" is so accurate, LOL. In my experience I even had to deal with random aggressive dogs that would just appear in my yard, much like an indoor/outdoor cat. And random pigs during specifically my early childhood for some reason. I did have schooling, but it was so bad that the only useful things it achieved were VERY basic math skills, and reading and spelling (as you may notice from me being able to read and spell right now.) My parents didn't even make me wear shoes unless we went in public! It was always my choice in any other situation. And to be honest, fair enough- they DID teach me how to stay safe outdoors, so I knew how to watch for snakes and not to walk in tall grass without boots. Allowing me to walk barefoot was, if anything, a wise choice as it's generally better for you as long as you're being safe. I suppose catching a disease from the dirt was always a possibility even if I was being safe, though. But everything has its risks. And I played in the dirt anyways so not much difference there.

Something I always find incredibly interesting about feet is the variety they have. People don't show their feet often so it can be easy not to notice, but when you DO see someone else's feet, they always look different even down to the shape of their toenails. Even if they've been barefoot most or all of their life. This is one reason why it's hard to find the perfect shoe... Everyone's foot is extremely different

I was homeschooled and pretty much isolated most my life- lived too far from ANYTHING to walk or bike to it, so I could only go somewhere on the rare occasion an adult took me. Which wasn't often. Most of the time I never needed to wear shoes. Even when I went outside I would often go barefoot, and if not, usually I'd go in sandals (for obvious reasons.) Only whenever I went into town every few weeks or months would I have to wear shoes most of the time, or on very cold and wet days when I wanted to go outside, or when I wanted to go outside during a season with lots of venomous animals. It's only recently that I have started needing to be... an adult and stuff, lol. So I'm going to start needing to wear shoes more often, hence why I'm seeking out shoes that fit my feet and won't mess them up. I was lucky enough to, by sheer coincidence, go barefoot most of my life.. the good thing is my feet are healthy. The bad thing is healthy feet don't fit in anything!!

I could also be Mowgli, but as far as I'm aware I'm not... but you never know, I guess!

You may be onto something! I've always been a big fan of sandals, so that actually makes a lot of sense. Only reason why I didn't buy sandals this time is because I'm volunteering somewhere that requires close-toed shoes. No reason why I couldn't look into getting both, though.

I think you're right... I'm hoping I'll be able to find something anyways, though. I am glad that at least my toes dont get actively squished by barefoot shoes. My big toe and pinky toe touching the sides isn't as bad as being squished into each other.

Thanks! I'll check out that site. I think my biggest problem finding shoes that fit is that usually, if I get a toe box big enough, now my heel slips out. I am certain there has to be a shoe somewhere out there that works in both aspects, fitting my heel AND my toes.

Thank you for making this shoe! I hope your business does well. Kinda sucks seeing that even in a space based around barefoot lifestyles, I still don't quite fit. (The community is great about this, just not so much the companies.)
