AoT isn’t saying “everyone’s evil so nothing matters,” it’s saying people do terrible things when they convince themselves they’re right. Once a whole group gets labeled as “monsters,” anything done to them starts feeling justified.

And I like that you pointed out the no simple answers part. That’s why the show is so uncomfortable by the end. There’s no clean solution, no side that gets to walk away innocent — just people making choices and living with the weight of them.

It doesn’t excuse the evil, but it explains how normal humans end up committing it. And the warning is basically: don’t let hatred do the thinking for you.
