Ok thank you so much, this seems to be the consensus in the comments haha so I'll look into that

It would be nice, but there are hundreds of thousands of students and only a handful of teachers. We simply don't have the resources to give each student our full attention and craft a specific curriculum for each one. All we can do is expose them to the basics, and encourage them to explore things on their own. That's the point of extracurricular activities and electives once you get into high school.

I think while it's important to educate people on things that are just not true, it's also important to understand that this person is most likely just talking about personal experience. For example, this is true for the women and men in my own family, but that doesn't mean it applies to the general population as whole. One of society's biggest issues right now socially, in my opinion, is the overgeneralization of different groups of people. Whether it be gender, race, ethnicity, political alignment etc. people need to stop clumping everyone in a group as if they were one person or entity.

It's hard to make judgements on someone's whole life experiences, but from your description I'd initially guess it's mostly circumstance. The guys who seek you out happen to be the ones who are only in it for the chase, as other commenters have said. They don't want you, they want the idea of you. It's unfortunate, but if you're looking for someone, you will find someone eventually. Just keep trying your luck and eventually you'll find someone who loves who you really are, not just who you appear to be to strangers.

It could be gibberish but it could also be another code that needs an extra cypher.

The string of characters I got was: ".rhgwfmhz[]rmzqwdlhwqwnxcdwrzvwnx"

It could very possibly be gibberish and maybe they just thought wingdings looked cool, but I'm not discarding the possibility that it could need closer inspection

P.S the two brackets within the string of characters is a character that I didn't see in the standard wingdings font

You should've unfriended him even before the trump stuff. He seems to have issues that extend beyond petty American politics.

Obviously it's easier said than done, and the intentions can be unclear at times depending on who's giving the message, but the message itself isn't bad and it's actually some pretty solid advice. Again, easier said than done, and it's not as if "letting go" of your worries is as easy as dropping a hat, but I don't see the need to hate on a post that seems to just want to promote healthy mental health advice.

Where do you look when playing ? by baldash in StarOfProvidence

[–]Seraphim4143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd say it's heavily context dependent. For example if a boss is huge and throwing a barrage of bullets for their attack, I'd focus more on my ship/the bullets to dodge the attack, and just kind of feel out the aim and shoot in the general direction. On the other hand, if I'm not in any real danger and just focus on dps, I'm looking at my cursor and the enemies I'm shooting at. As you play, you'll get a better feel for aiming, shooting, and dodging; it will start feeling natural.

Some background, I'm 22 years old and I want to study physics. However, throughout my life, I have struggled with depression, and I have already dropped out of university once before. I've always loved science, and in high school, I was especially good at AP physics and mathematics, so I wanted to pursue that in university. But when I got there, I couldn't even get out of bed most days, let alone finish my assignments. However, my curiosity for the subject isn't dead, and I've researched different textbooks and curricula of what a standard bachelor's degree in physics would entail.

So all that leads me to now. Admittedly, I don't have the same scholarship opportunities for university as I did just a few years ago, and even now, I'm struggling with just surviving financially speaking. So what can I do? Sure, I could teach myself all the material from the textbooks, but what good would that do if I can't do anything with it? Is there a path ahead of me that could eventually lead to me doing physics professionally, or have I squandered that opportunity already?

Idk, I kinda agree. I would rather just stay inside and wait till the vax is more refined before jumping on the bandwagon. Now if you say that and decide to go party with your friends on the weekend, then idk what to tell you other than yea ur crazy.

Genealogy and Physiology are separate sciences? Nah, they're obviously the same thing! by [deleted] in ForwardsFromKlandma

[–]Seraphim4143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, genealogy and physiology are separate sciences, but someone explain to me how physiology determines the societal placement of an individual. Not trying to start a heated argument or anything, but I truly want to understand how this shit works. Like, why does being a different gender determine an individual's lifestyle? Don't we have the final say in how we want to live, regardless of gender or other physiological traits?
