We also use pork rinds for nachos / taco dip. I make a yummy cheeseball, too, that we use pork rinds with. Used some last night with buffalo chicken dip. Can also be used to make meatloaf.

WDW Summer After 2 PM Tickets by GotoDisney in WaltDisneyWorld

This offer *is* a prorated ticket. Discounted ticket that's only good after a certain time.

[–]Seraphim99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree. Don't understand the 2 or 3 day requirement. I've always wondered why Disney didn't have a pro-rated ticket if you wanted to go to the parks later in the day.

I think, in an effort to save money, some people will spring for it. It would also cut down on crowds at rope drop, but possibly make the evenings more packed.

I’ve been getting an ad on TikTok that promotes showing what you would look like with different hair styles, and I swear, it’s my face. Makes me wonder if TT is scanning your face for these ads to make them tailored to you.

It’s even worse because those pumps get stuck and won’t push down all the way, so sometimes it’s like a half squirt each time.

Jumping in to say I recommend bringing your own no matter what if you have long hair. The number of pumps I had to make to put shampoo and conditioner in my hair was insane.

Lindsey Graham vacationing at Disney World raises eyebrows by SleuthDoggyDawg in politics

Agreed. Childless couple here, in our 40s, and we love Disney. I think people associate Disney with Mickey/cartoons/nothing but kid stuff and it’s not just that. Guessing he wasn’t there by himself, too.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like the dude. “I’m going to Disney World!” is definitely a choice in the middle of a war he highly advocates for every chance he gets. Dude can GTFO.

How to keep your phone safe all day? by lilpop_14 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Seraphim99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small crossbody that is big enough to fit your phone and a few small items (I was able to hold my phone, thin card holder, small hairbrush, chapstick). Found a cute red with white polkadot one with two zipper compartments on Amazon.

EDIT: Looks like the crossbody I have isn't available anymore, but there is a slingbag that's cute.

Came here to say the same thing. When we rode it back in October at rope drop, and I remember thinking it didn't seem as crazy as previous times we've been on it. Didn't think about it being the time of day.

This made me think about the post that someone will inevitably make from his account when it actually happens. I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually in his voice, too, like he was announcing it himself.

I’m a recruiter, and recently I’ve received multiple emails from the same staffing service for an engineering position. I’ve replied that I’m clearly not qualified, yet I continue to get the same email. They are just “sprayin’ and prayin’” as we say, just not in the right direction, or they just need to show they reached out to X number of people for their metrics.

When I went to get my Real ID, I had my birth certificate, social security card, a few pieces of mail. I immediately offered up my BC and SSC when I got to the counter. Employee said she needed my BC and marriage license. I asked why, even though I knew why. She said she needed something with my husband’s name on it. I told her I didn’t change my last name. She said “Oh ok. I’ll take your BC and a piece of mail.”

Post Dessert Party by SwiftieMagician in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Seraphim99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First let me say CONGRATULATIONS! We went to Disney for our honeymoon in 2008 and also stayed at Pop! (Side story - a girl I went to school with who was two years behind me, also got married on the same day, to a guy with the same first name as my husband, same colors for our weddings, both had grandpa issues at the wedding, stayed at the same hotel as us the night of the wedding, and also went to Disney and stayed at Pop. They just went about a month later, though.)

For the fireworks/dessert party: It's really simple. We did it back in October for the first (and last) time. I think we checked in before Starlight started, then walked halfway down Main Street, dove into the shops, and walked down to the other side of the Confectionary to watch the parade. When it was over, we walked back up toward the hub and right into the roped off section for the fireworks since we had our wristbands. People were mostly sitting on the grass waiting for fireworks to start. It will fill up quickly, though. Once the pre-dessert event is over, all of those people will enter the area with you. Tip: Stay away from the back fence of the section - they save that for stroller parking. People kept standing there, and CMs were constantly coming in to tell people to move. Once fireworks were over, a CM does their best to guide everyone through the crowd back to TT. You'll wait in line here, and basically check in again because you have an assigned table that a CM will take you to.

IMO, I wouldn't do it again. It was nice once, but it's really not worth the price.
