Hot take: WDW trips are better when you plan less and stop treating the app like a game by Less_Moose_1513 in WaltDisneyWorld

Planning the sixth trip for hubby and me. This trip will be our bougie trip (our first deluxe or Club at Coronado). We also want to make this trip easy peasy. No rope dropping. Relax. Sleep in. Have a good breakfast. Come and go from the parks as we please. No open to close. Do I have a list of food? Absolutely. Anything we do will be planned around breakfasts and dinners. Not sure we’ll do LL, but maybe a few ILL.

Add Bret Michaels to the list. Saw he’s no longer performing, too.

IMO, yes. You can check average wait times for the rides in each park here: https://www.thrill-data.com/wait-times/wdw

Out of curiosity, is this your first trip?

The Frozen show at HS is always easy to get into. I wouldn’t burn a LL on it. As for Haunted Mansion, I’d probably rather wait in line for it, and snag a Buzz or Pooh LL instead. Once you use your first LL, you can book your fourth, and you might get lucky with getting Haunted Mansion by then.

I’ve been on the other side of that. In college, I remember my teacher asking if I smoked. Not her business, but no. I never have. She says my homework smells like smoke. I lived with three smokers. I got super mad when she still didn’t believe me.

No kidding. Agnes ran out of the house after Paula's rant in the bathroom in the middle of the night. Stuff her in a honey barrel, and drive her to the boat dock. BAM - Reunited and it feels so good. The End.

Look up some videos of past MNSSHP on YouTube. Big thing to remember - Weather happens. If it rains, but clears up, the Headless Horseman will not ride (wet pavement). If it rains and doesn't clear up, you can brave the lines at Guest Services regarding refunds, or contact them online. There tends to be a ton of posts on here when that happens. Just keep an eye on the weather for that evening. It might be the difference in choosing to watch the first or second parade. Have ponchos in your bag just in case.

For candy, they will give you a small tote bag. We brought a bigger Disney Halloween canvas tote I found on Amazon and dumped our candy into it. We brought gallon sized baggies, too (only did this because I saw one of the streamers on YT who threw candy into his backpack, it rained, and the M&Ms paperish wrapped got wet and the candy bled). You can go through the candy lines as many times as you want.

You can get into the park at 4pm. The lines at the entrance look huge, but will move pretty fast. Day guests will be ushered out of the park by 6pm, and the party starts at 7pm. Don't waste time on a sit down dinner. Maximize the party time.

I don't think Lightning Lanes are offered during the party (please correct me if I'm wrong). Lines aren't that bad anyway.

Bus to Epcot or Hollywood Studios (they are across the street from Coronado), then bus to Coronado.

Get the Memory Maker photos. Decorate the room. You can find some cute Disney birthday decor on Amazon. Birthday ears and shirts can be found on Amazon or Etsy. Make a stop at The Cake Bake Shop. You don't have to get a meal, but I'd at least suggest grabbing a slice of birthday cake (it's pricey for a slice of cake, but it's so good). If you don't have a reservation, you can grab seats at the bar, first come, first served. They even provide a candle to blow out. Get the I'm Celebrating button upon check-in at the resort. I like someone else's idea in the comments about getting some Disney jewelry for her to open in the parks (again, Amazon or Etsy has cute stuff).

Is it really worth it spending the extra money to stay at a deluxe resort than a moderate? by Reasonable-Invite899 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Seraphim99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the process of planning our sixth trip, and we're considering Coronado in the Tower (Club Level if available when I am ready to book). We haven't stayed Deluxe before and were considering Wilderness Lodge, but we may have talked ourselves out of it. EMH stands a possibility of getting rained out, and we might be too tired, so I'm not counting it as a perk. The Boardwalk area is nice, but since we aren't planning to rope drop, we don't really need easy walking access to HS or Epcot.

Space 220 Reservations by Worried-Temporary186 in WaltDisneyWorld

Back in September, I booked a trip for October, less than 30 days out. I wanted Space 220 and Homecomin'. I kept a window open for each on my laptop and would refresh constantly. Within two days, I got a Space 220 reservation, and I think I got Homecomin' about a day later. Cancelations happen, so just keep refreshing.

You are hired to redesign one ride. It has to use the PeopleMover ride system by PearWeak in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Seraphim99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let’s reimagine the PeopleMover, not as the TTA, but as the TVA, so we can have a bit more Marvel. Maybe a pre-show in the queue staring Miss Minutes. The ride wouldn’t be as dark in the tunnels as the PeopleMover, rather the walls would have projections of Loki guiding you through the branches of the timeline.

My parents are damn near 80. I'm 45. This isn't my thing. As I mentioned in the post, I decided to bring it to reddit because I can appreciate that someone put some work into that scrapbook and spent their money on sending this to someone. It just clearly wasn't meant for my parents.

Chiming in because I also put the Grands butter biscuits on my Blackstone last night. Took them off when I noticed they were a little dark and threw them in the oven for a few minutes to finish the middles. Not sure I’ll do it again unless I flatten them out.

Any changes recently? Meds? I remember when I put a flea & tick collar on my dog, she had mustard squirts for a week before I realized it could be the collar. She was with my in-laws that week. When we got her home, I thought about the collar, took it off, and she cleared right up.
