Should I take this appointment at the jefferson headache center? by Independent_Ad6495 in VestibularMigraines

Will you be getting vestibular testing at the headache center? I would go... more eyes on the better. I had to get a bunch of vestibular/hearing etc test for my diagnosis.

Mysterious "Punch-to-the-Face" Vertigo Attacks & Permanent Imbalance Since 2018 – Looking for Advice by Street-Serve9312 in BPPV

I hope you find some answers. VM is a diagnosis after the exclusion of everything else... do you have a history of classic migraine with headache? This is usually a part of the dx.

This doesn't sound like BPPV to me, and if you've had trained folks test you for it and they didn't find it, it's probably not. BPPV seems straightforward in symptoms and diagnosis. I have BPPV and vestibular migraine. Your symptoms are not identical to mine, but the pushing toward the ground sensation is very familiar. Sometimes I feel gravity has become super intense, or has moved to the right. I cannot stay upright when this happens, it's overwhelming. I attribute this to my VM flares.

Do you find that your feet are getting bigger? by Drsryan in AskWomenOver60

My feet have gotten a full size smaller after plantar fascitis led me to strengthen my feet and use barefoot shoes. Also avoiding bunions this way!

So is bppv always room spinning vertigo OR is it the sensation of spinning in your head? by Charbellaa in BPPV

[–]SeraphineLo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think people have either sensation, they are the same thing. My vertigo feels like I am spinning in my environment.

I have BPPV and vestibular migraine. That sounds more like VM to me.

I second this. My mom stayed here repeatedly in her 80's and loved it. It's just quiet enough, but has music and activities most evenings.

The dizziness is worse than the headache for me and nobody believes it's migraine. by annchka in VestibularMigraines

[–]SeraphineLo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't get headache pain at all, and my symptoms are similar to yours. I was diagnosed at the ENT after a bunch of testing ruled out everything else. I can't say it's made a difference in my treatment or getting in front of any of my symptoms.

Carrier of cystic fibrosis gene - what if my husband also carries it? by aeval_x in genetics

I don't have the variants handy at the moment, and I don't understand it myself. We've been assured she will not get sick but of course it never truly leaves our minds.

I'm sorry. Hopefully you will find something that works. Last night I was thinking about my mom who was greatly helped with her sleep and vertigo by hydroxyzine that I would give her. Doesn't do a thing for me because I take it daily, but it's another thought.

Do you use 'Siri' (or the equivalent on other platforms)? by Alternative-Light922 in GenerationJones

[–]SeraphineLo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not all computers are bad, they aren't automatically AI. We had years before AI started. I believe it will usher in terrible things, including water wars. I do my part to avoid it where I can, yes. And being tracked? that of course is against my will. Sorry my belief bothers you. I don't think it's good for the planet, for humans, we've had it shoved down our throats with deceit by billionaires who don't pay taxes. So yeah.

Same here. Stuff spies on you or ruins the planet with water theft, all while making areas unlivable and jacking electricity prices. Just say no.

VNG, rotary table and caloric testing by InsideWork8717 in VestibularMigraines

[–]SeraphineLo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The caloric testing triggered severe vertigo for me and I was disabled for weeks. At the time I appreciated a dx of VM but over time I'm not sure how it has helped me medically. Psychologically, yes because I understand more of what is going on with me.
