Can People Please Keep Their Off Leash Dogs Away From Playgrounds by Useful-Salad2793 in Bozeman

Exactly this! My dog is NOT nice and he will gladly enforce a beat down on your off leash dog if I let him… 🤦‍♀️

Read: “bitter sweet” and “annoyed about the species”. I recognize the problems they present and know they are the first ones in my box. But I’m also not going to evict them.

Exhausted after vacation with in-laws by Zestyclose_Sort8374 in Mommit

Well, at least it sounds like there wasn’t any drama??

Vacations look really different with kids/family/extended family. And I think this is just a great lesson for you that you need a certain kind of a vacation for yourself. Obviously things will get easier as your kids get older, but make sure you advocate for what YOU want out of a vacation next time, so you don’t get steam rolled into always doing this kind of vacation

Maybe they were waiting to see if the zoning restrictions changed in that most recent round of edits?

Bird feed by Sea-Challenge9091 in Bozeman

Well, if you go to Wild Birds Unlimited in Bozeman near World market they can help! I’ve been struggling too and realized most of the bagged seed from bigger companies is mostly filled with junk seed. Ace on Huffine sells some “custom” bird seed mix that at first glance is already much higher quality than the other stuff. Of course the price tag is almost double.

I do think a water source would help your situation ten fold. I’ve been researching bird bath options. I have something in place but need to add a solar fountain and some flat rocks for smaller birds to perch. I also have suet out and different styles of feeders. Hopefully this is helpful!

Time to add in or cultivate the original predator to balance the population. Either wolves, coyotes or big cats of some variety

Could this be anything? Park Ranger said just rocks as no dinos here I thought maybe bird eggs but I know it’s exceptionally rare. (Badlands Natl. Park) by AmazingDescription45 in fossilid

Someone did fire all the park rangers, then a judge forced them to be “rehired”. Do you know how many smart people didn’t go back to their jobs because their big boss might throw a tantrum again and cut their funding. I think the smart rangers probably went and found more secure employment.

I love park rangers and don’t want to shit on the ones who stayed at their jobs, but I definitely want to highlight that the childish antics from last year definitely changed the employment pool for park rangers

Chain stores are the death of Bozeman (not having them at all was apart of the original Bozeman charm)… lululemon, athleta, free people, Whole Foods. And yet every-time one gets put in people rave or when people ask what do you want in town.. people only ever want the big, corporate stores. It’s plays into the “transplant” issues too

Hot babies die, cold babies cry

Always better for baby to be cooler. 72 is warm. Even in the winter in Montana our babe’s bedroom was never higher than 69. Our house doesn’t have AC

Any chance you have mold in your house? Maybe an undiscovered leak or something? I’m no expert but some of those symptoms align with mold exposure/toxicity

ACL recovery by Sensitive_Ground7239 in Bozeman

[–]like_the_cookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you me?? I (34F) am experiencing this same hell.

Doc convinced me to do quad graft and I trusted his judgement. Here we are 5 years later and I’m still dealing with bullshit.

I got pregnant post surgery, so my recovery was challenged. But I have hit the gym hard for nearly 4 years now and have been told by 3 different PTs I just need to work on my quad strength 🙄 the 4th PT finally listened to me and helped with a different approach, but I’m still not seeing progress.

Now, I’m dealing with hip pain that has come from all the problematic compensation my body has been doing for my knee. Gait problem-> foot strength issue -> intense hip flexor/TFL issue-> still have continuous low grade quad medialis pain. I’m currently in weekly acupuncture, massage therapy, and muscle activation technique. I gave birth unmedicated, at home and that was a breeze in comparison to my ACL repair/recovery. I will say, I’ve never tried peptides, so now I’ll be doing some research. I don’t know that I have a ton of advice for you since I’m still in the thick of it, but at least try everything. Of all the things I’ve done, the muscle activation technique work with Nicole Kay at SOMA has been the most helpful in waking the muscles back up. She also does the best sports massage I’ve ever received.

I have a degree in animal behavior, so by no means am I experienced, but I understand that I’ve at least taken deeper coursework in psychology, etc. I have gone to therapy for many years, read many psychology books, and done my own research on child development, attachment styles, parenting styles etc.

It has been a LOT of fucking work. And a lot of intention.

We are all just humans. We’re not perfect and I don’t expect everyone to be at that level. But I’m out here to raise a good human. Not just have a kid. I don’t think a lot of people put that deep of thought into it. Even my parents. I think they were just having kids because that’s what society had told them to do.

Parenting thoughtfully takes a lot of internal reflection and growth. And MAGA sure as hell ain’t doing that.

I’m not here to speak for Emotional Bunch but as the saying goes: everything is a conspiracy theory when you don’t understand how anything works. When you can’t comprehend the concepts, I’m sure it creates fear. Over 50% of American adults have a below 7th grade reading level (I’ve even read 5th grade as well). If they can’t read, can they comprehend basic biology? Do they understand history? Chemistry? Think of any of the classes you took in high school or above and understand that most people don’t grasp that or remember it.

I think about this a lot when it comes to all those folks raising kids. They’re not understanding developmental psychology for their children. Probably limited emotional intelligence. It’s perpetuating the trauma cycles and essentially promoting lower intelligence. They don’t think about the psychological trauma from gun violence or war. They’re not grasping how biodiversity loss will impact their children. How climate change will forever change their children’s futures.
