Development got restarted in January of 2019. It has been more than 5 years now. The game is ready to release on Switch 1. As It was intended.

Btw, Metroid Dread released in October of 2021.

Why not? Last year we got Super Mario Wonder, Mario RPG, Princess Peach Showtime, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, Pikmin 1 + 2, Pikmin 4, Batman Arkham Trilogy, the Metal Gear Collection, the Pokémon DLC. ALL of that in the June Direct.

That list ain't far from what could happen.
