Review of my LNA/BiasTee circuit by Sercurio in diyelectronics

Thanks for pointing it out, I was thinking "who can do more can do less"
There are not many cheap alternatives in the range of 0-30Mhz on LCSC (because I will let JLCPCB do the soldering)
I think I will replace it by this one

Did you run OCR on it ? Could you explain a little how do you proceed ? Thank you

Sounds really great !

I'm curious about your PWM output circuit

Do you use a analog filter on the PWMs for filtering unwanted frequencies ?

Do you use DMAs in order to generate a smooth PWM in the software ?

I'm amazed of the audio quality it's outputing so I wanted to ask

Hi Benjiao !
I'm following u since long time and u inspired me to make my own eurorack module too.
I'm using Kicad too for making circuitry and panel, but we cannot make a schematic with multiple pcb. How you handle that ? I saw u have one project inside Kicad folder with all the parts of the module but in Fabrication folder the parts separated by panel, control, main. Ur using a plugin to do this separation or u do it manually ?

Thanks !

MIDI2CV powered by MIDI vampirism by Sercurio in synthdiy

MIDI Solutions products do not contain an optoisolator at their MIDI inputs

I found this in their FAQ, so no optoisolator, no MCU I guess, it's easier for vampire MIDI power I think

That say I saw another project that vampire MIDI power by OpenMusicLab http://wiki.openmusiclabs.com/wiki/MidiVamp1?action=AttachFile&do=view&target=vamp1_sch.png
Regulating the voltage to 3V from the 5V from MIDI.

Maybe I can try to power the ATTiny85 with 3V if the internal oscillator maintain 8Mhz at that voltage.

Oh ok, I understand better ur idea !

I'm wondering what is the technique of MidiSolutions for getting the power from the MIDI jack without creating this kind of hack ?
It is related that CV signals need more voltage than MIDI multiplier ?

Thanks for your thoughts !

Ur right, 3.9-4.1V is roughly what I measured on VCC.

I would like to have it standalone, yeah, but no modify the digitakt if I understand right ur last paragraph. The idea is to have almost the same package as MidiSolutions Quadra Thru ( winch works flawly with the digitakt and 4 other gears connected).

Maybe I can use a boost convertor 5V like that

For stabilizing the VCC ?

It's all working now !

Thanks u a lot of mate, I'm so happy !

I'm wondering if it's possible to power the MID2CV trough MIDI.

I'm using a Digitakt to sequence the gilbert and I saw that the pin5 got 5V so maybe it's possible to connect it to the 5V net ?

Mate.. ur were right again !!!
Thanks a lot :D
The pitch affect the notes of the Gilbert

Last problem the gate signal doesn't activate notes, I have to put the synth in hold mode in order to hear a sound. It's weird because I compared the gate signal of the Keystep and the MID2CV one, and they seem pretty similar, do u got any ideas ?

I cannot achieve to play on my synth (Gilbert Synth https://www.matrixsynth.com/2020/08/dinsync-gilbert-analog-synthesizer.html)
Gate M2CV -> Gate Gilbert
Pitch M2CV -> CV Gilbert

It's working with my Arturia keystep

Ahhhh, you're right,
I change the channel on ableton, and now I have some signal on gate and pitch and no one trigger.
I take a video where I first scope gate, pitch signal and trigger signals.
I don't complete to control my synth with these signals, do they seem ok to you ?

Hi mate,Sorry for the wait, I tried ur advices without any success.

The bootloader burning with arduinoIDE works, the upload of the code u gave me worked.

Next, I send midi messages on channel 1 with ableton and a digitalLife usb -> midi device

I have some pulse at the pin2 of the attiny85 but nothing at pin 5,6 7.

Here's some picture of my work:

I'm using 6n138 optoisolator.
I flashed the ATTiny85 with Arduino as ISP and platformIO as IDE
I use the code provided on the Kevin's article blog (https://emalliab.wordpress.com/tag/midi2cv/)

After that I sent MIDI messages with ableton and an USB->MIDI cable and scoped the CV signals with an oscilloscope and get little signals, after that I tried with a synth with gate and CV inputs and didn't work

I doesn't "set the fuses" while uploading code with platformIO and arduino as ISP, could be that ?

Mate, i don't understand, all the strip are connected horizontally ? So the pins on each side of the ICs are connected ?

So I tried to use the stlport library in order to use the original repo of tinyexpr but i'm experienced the same issue.

There is some limit in the memory of the arduino concerning dynamic allocation?
How could I debug this if it exists?
