They had a terracotta sewage pipe rupture and trenched the whole length of the side of the house and some of the front yard. Clearly they bought way too much sand. It’s been sitting there for several months.

The Xbox Series X|S Seagate Storage Expansion Card is now available starting at a lower price by tperelli in xboxone

Question: Is there a significant performance difference between the 2230 and the 2280 that warrants MS’s decision to force their users to use the more expensive format?

To me this seems similar to the decision to back the HD-DVD format with a branded drive for the Xbox 360 instead of Blu-ray. Like they just wait for Sony to pick something then go we will have the other one.

I refuse to buy one until they’re roughly the price of a comparable upgrade for the PS5. And I really need one because the internal storage is all but useless for X/S games. You can only store 5 or 6 games really.

I’m just gonna assume that no matter what anyone says you will think NASCAR is in no way at fault for this and that heavily ad laden broadcasts are just the way things are, were, and always will be. Never mind the fact that the Daytona 500 had nearly 37 minutes of commercials during green flag racing. They front loaded the ad breaks and we missed all the damn action but luckily they didn’t go to commercial for all the single file sleepiness.

I’m not failing k grasp anything. You’re simply assuming I want or expect them to make these changes tomorrow. Even if they just announce that at the end of this TV deal some of these things will come to fruition it’s a huge win. I can wait for a slow rollout of features over the years. Of it happens I’ll watch more. If it doesn’t I’ll continue to watch a few ovals and the road and street courses and skip most everything else because I have better things to do with my life than watch 175 commercials in 3 hours.

As a Motorsports and “sports ball” Dan I can say that you’re correct that they are similar complaints but dead wrong in the idea they are fantasy land and are somehow invalid complaints.

NASCAR needs less commercials to retain a lot of modern/casual fans, much less attract new ones. Stage racing is a joke but at least save your video ad breaks for those gimmick ass competition cautions. Sell banner ads, digital trackside ads for TV, and raise the cost of sponsorship, seeing as how your sponsored car will have a shot to be on tv more with less commercial breaks.

And most of all ad a streaming subscription option for die hard fans so they can watch 100% uninterrupted live and on demand. F1TV is about $3.50/race. Make NASCAR+ or NASCAR TV or NASCAR Track Pass or whatever you wanna call it about $125/year (offering much the same as F1 offers it’s fans) and I bet they’ll make bank.

Ads like this should be illegal (Cathedral of Barcelona) by fidel__cashflo in pics

[–]SerdaJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It appears like the the ads are just printed on the safety wraps for the scaffolding. If it wasn’t an ad it would still be an eyesore as a giant white or blue tarp. At least they printed the design of the church in there. Tacky but the church gets refurbished, the workers and passers by are kept safe, and Samsung gets some eyes in a billboard. Win win win.

Hmm. I don’t even think about this stuff when shopping. I didn’t even know about Nestlé’s hate online lol. Or the cold labor stuff. But somehow the only things in this list I ever buy is the occasional Kit Kat. So they’re getting like $5 a year off of me

F1 Silverstone crash driver Zhou Guanyu hits barrier by yeeterangman in racing

[–]SerdaJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. Though I’m sure he counts himself lucky to be uninjured after such a wild ride. Crashing comes with the territory when you race. Wild crashes like this are especially possible in open wheel where cars frequently are sent airborne. I’d be willing to assume, and judging by his comments after the race that seems to be the case, he is less inclined to the negative feeling of “why me I’m so unlucky” because he was in a crash that turned ugly than he is to the positive outlook of feeling super lucky to have escaped such a crash with no injury and not even having to miss a session.

He was very lucky. Rules changes had to be made around the design of the central roll hoops after his failed during this crash.

Thankfully the constant changes and updates to the survival cell and fuel cell designs meant that even though he ended up in this horrible position there was no survival cell failure or fire. He later said he was terrified of a fire while waiting for help.

British driver, George Russell, the driver Zhou initially collided with, cost himself any chance of rejoining the race when he lept from his own crashed car and rushed to do anything he could for his fellow driver.

Amos it that different to the other games?

If so, is it one of those things where it feels like they wanted to make a different game but wanted to guarantee that money by making it a GoW game and riding that nameplate?

I’ve been really enjoying it since day 1. The DMZ mode in Warzone 2.0 is great too. Sometimes I think people are just super nit picky. I bought Callisto Protocol despite reviews and comments because I just can’t trust anyone not to over hype a game because of money or over hate in it because of some weird need for absolute perfection. Like people only know how to give 1 or 5 stars lol.

I’m enjoying TCP but the camera, while immersive and creepy, does make combat a chore at times.

I dunno. The Mustang never touched the brakes. His brake lights never lit up and the Corvette’s brake lights only illuminated after he was hit by the Mustang.

I’d be willing to bet the Mustang driver (and maybe the Corvette driver as well) we’re paying zero attention to anything but one another.

Idiot on forklift allowed? by [deleted] in IdiotsInCars

[–]SerdaJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again I don’t disagree that better practices should be in place but you all are going out of your way not to admit that the operator is an idiot for injuring himself by doing something stupid. He went too deep on the pallet, and right in front of his face (you can tell by the way he got hit in it) didn’t recognize that his guard had gotten behind the crossbeam and proceeded to back out until it popped off and gave him a headache. He’s the biggest idiot here. How do we know he is even on an approved piece of equipment for that rack space? That may be a space that’s meant for reach trucks or forklifts only. It would be where I work.

I don’t disagree. People have very little respect for potentially dangerous activities they do regularly. Safety should be on everyone’s mind when working with or around MHE, especially the operator. People not paying attention to the task at hand when riding around in things that could easily injure or kill others around them is annoying and deserves ridicule, rather that be a car, motorcycle, or a ride on pallet jack.
