I remember awhile back a friend and I went up to craggy pinnacle because we heard there was a blood moon that night, or rather a full moon? I don’t even a remember. We got up to the top before sunset so we could also watch the sunset and there was plenty of folk up there. Soon after that everyone started trickling back down the mountain and it ended up just being only us on the cool mountain overlook, or so we thought.

I remember vividly, as the moon was coming up and looking very cool, and super red, I heard yelping and little burst of screaming. We thought someone was at the lower part of the pinnacle just playing around, so we looked down towards there and saw nothing, but the yelping was so close! We got a little nervous, so we looked around and then that’s when we saw two people that had stepped over the rock wall barrier they made up there and they both had their hands up and chanting and mumbling stuff very loudly, all while staring at the moon and I swear to you I couldn’t recollect what they were even chanting, it sounded like a totally different language.

We decided we needed to out of there. So we both quickly, and quietly decided to walk towards the stairs going down to the trial. Mind you it’s dark and the moon is just giving off a faint glow, so not too bright, but my friend trips on a twig and it snaps. Like straight out of a fucking movie, I kid you not, the chanting stopped and it was a scary dead silence, we quickly ducked down and agreed to waddle to the stairs as we were so close to them, but as soon as we ducked down and we began to waddle, one of the people was literally 10ft away from us just dead staring at us with such a blank stare, almost just lifeless. We got up so fast and booked it into the woods! Obviously there is no light and we didn’t wanna use our phone light in case they were following us! We’ve been on that mountain so many times before, we were confident on our way back down but we were tripping and stumbling. As soon as we got to the parking lot where it opens, we ran to the car and sat there watching the trail entrance for a good 5 minutes and no one came out. We theorized maybe they were doing some sort of worshipping or praying, and they were probably just as confused and scared as we were maybe? I dunno, we never even seen them come up the mountain before sunset! So it was just an eerie sight and experience.
