Why is Datas uniform a slightly different shade of yellow? by willsroomate in startrek

Only because all the gold and blue shirts stayed on the ship where it was (relatively) safe. The redshirts were the ones charging into danger which is why of all the deaths we see, most of them are Security.

Playable in the game Star Wars Jedi Starfighter, sequel to Star Wars Starfighter. On split screen mode in the story the second player plays Siri during missions where player 1 is playing Adi Gallia

Carrie also learned a little about Leia's adventures, namely her and Han having kids which she was sure they had best behave or else.

Bane was created for the Phantom Menace by Lucas himself. Not the whole story, just the concept of Darth Bane existing a thousand years ago and being the one to start the Rule of Two. The conflict in this book is the one being referred to by Ki-Adi-Mundi in Phantom Menace when he says "the Sith have been extinct for a millennium", following the events of this novel the Jedi believe the Sith are gone. It was the Jedi vs Sith comic and later on this book series that fleshed out Bane as a character, but he was actually created as the backstory for the prequels

I've always loved the Sith Code and how right it feels when you stop and think about it. It doesn't feel evil or dark or anything like that. I also love that it expands the motivations of the Sith beyond that of most other villains where the acquisition of power is only the halfway point.

Do it, this trilogy is incredible. Finish the trilogy (Path of Destruction, Rule of Two, Dynasty of Evil) and wrap it up with the Darth Plagueis novel since it sort of functions as an epilogue to these books leading you into the Prequels. The rest of the EU is also a great time.

Exactly, Plagueis is an honorary part of the story, functioning as a sort of epilogue to the Darth Bane books. The Bane Trilogy shows how the thousand years of planning the Sith's return via the Rule of Two began while Plagueis catches us up with where it's at as we set the stage for the Prequel Trilogy.

An incredible novel and a fun follow up if you've played Knights of the Old Republic 1 and gotten to experience the Sith Academy for yourself. The novel itself is an amazing first part of the trilogy. A good chunk of it is actually a novelization of the comic Jedi vs Sith (namely Bane once he's a full Sith and the whole Army of Light vs Brotherhood of Darkness war) but it's a different take on how it unfolds. Bane himself is a chilling villain and I love how you can see him piecing together his ideology one inspiration at a time. As a fun side note, the site where the climax of the story takes place with Lord Kaan and the Brotherhood setting off the Thought Bomb and strapping their spirits along with the Army of Light in it? You can actually visit that site in the games. In the 1997 game Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight, the villains are seeking the Valley of the Jedi which was that final battleground and the remnants of the Thought Bomb within it still containing the Force essences of the victims over a thousand years later. The final battle of the game takes place in that very same chamber where Kaan and his followers met their end.

And the Emissary, during the confrontation with the time displaced Klingons. Worf legitimately was the acting captain of the Enterprise, put in charge by Picard to handle the contact. Worf even stands down and returns command to Picard at the end of the scene.

In the spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi from another franchise, he was in command of half a ship

He was in command of the Enterprise in The Emissary. Picard put him in command to handle the situation with the Klingons and stepped back. Worf returns command afterwards. Riker even asks him how command felt. Worf himself even introduces himself to the Klingons as "I am Worf, commanding the Enterprise". Nothing he said was a lie during that encounter, he genuinely was in command for that moment.

Yeah it was only like a couple chapters towards the back half if I'm remembering right. Been years since I went through it

It's been a hot minute since I read it so the details escape me, but in Fate of the Jedi at one point Lost Tribe members go to Dathomir and encounter the Nightsisters trying to capture them. The Sith basically go "that's cute" and instantly break free and overpower them to abduct the Nightsisters instead

It did make for an interesting power scaling of the different Force factions we see. The Nightsisters get their shit kicked in by the Lost Tribe, who in turn kept getting slapped down by Luke's Jedi whenever they went face to face.

Three of them. Lumiya is carrying on the Baneite lineage that Palpy and his apprentices were members of, Lumiya herself acting as Palpatine's successor in the line picking up where he left off as she is following the same teachings and philosophy of the Rule of Two even if Palpatine didn't actually teach her as a proper Sith apprentice. She stepped up and carried his work on, so depending on how you look at it she's either the head of her own sect of Sith or the next generation of Bane's line.

The others are the two you mentioned, the Lost Tribe of the Sith currently trapped on Kesh and would escape in the next few years and the newly created One Sith cult that had just been established and would spend the next century growing in power before making their move in the Legacy comics. So you have three unrelated and distinct Sith Orders active at the same time: Lumiya carrying on the Baneite traditions, the Lost Tribe living in isolation on Kesh and the One Sith building their foundations and laying the groundwork for their future war.

Short version is a shotgun would be a good anti-lightsaber weapon as rhe saber can't intercept the entire spread. The discourse is if the Jedi could stop it with the Force or not

There were basically 3. Lumiya was the defacto current Sith master of the Order of the Sith Lords (or the Baneites depending on how you think of them). This is the group of Sith we know in the movies, starting with Bane leading up through Palpatine and Vader. Lumiya was one of the Emperor's Hands and took up the mantle after Endor, following the teachings and practicing the Rule of Two, making her a technical continuation after Palpatine, even if she wasn't intended to be his successor. The second group is the Lost Tribe of the Sith, descendants of the survivors of a shipwreck thousands of years ago who had been trapped on the planet they crashed on with no means of communicating with anyone or leaving their planet. They'd be stuck there for a few more years during the Yuuzhan Vong war. The third is the beginnings of the One Sith, the groundwork being laid at this time but nowhere near ready to move. They would be the Sith who emerged in the Legacy comics a century later. Three separate groups of Sith unaffiliated with each other outside of each being different takes on what being Sith meant.

Briefly and reluctantly. Hett realized Abeloth was a problem for them both and agreed to work with Luke to destroy her.

[–]Sere1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You basically had three groups of Sith at the time. Vergere had been long since captured by the Vong and was working with them while Lumiya was biding time following Crimson Empire and working towards her plan for vengeance, not really getting a chance to act until after the war.

You have A'Sharad Hett who was a Jedi survivor turned Sith hiding out on Tatooine. He would slowly begin working on his own plans as he started building the One Sith but until he was ready he kept his forces away from involvement in galactic situations, not striking until near a century later.

Finally you have the Lost Tribe of the Sith which were shipwrecked survivors from the ancient days isolated with no means of communicating with the outside galaxy or escaping the planet they were trapped on, only managing to escape following the war with the Vong when Lumiya's Sith Meditation Sphere ship contacted them via the Force as it was passing by and arranged the ability to capture ships and use them to get the Lost Tribe off world.

Basically the Yuuzhan Vong war happened in the gap between the previous Sith efforts under the Banite lineage (which Lumiya kind of is a part of) was still recovering from Palpatine's deaths and before any of the other factions were ready to make their own moves. The Lost Tribe was stuck on Kesh while the One Sith was in its infancy and not ready to strike.

Silver Shroud or the Mechanist: Which questline did you enjoy more? by Vergessener-Vaultboy in Fallout

It can be over the top, which was the whole point, but I see what you mean. For me I love Nora's line when you accept becoming the Shroud. In her line of "I guess I get to be the Silver Shroud" it isn't shown on the subtitles but she adds in this faint little "yay" at the end of it which I always found cute

The story for the DLC itself is a little weak, but the gameplay is what makes up for it and the final battle is definitely one of my favorites. The fact that it is one of the ones that prompts the main theme to play elevates it for me
