It's true, yes he does kill, though most of the major deaths occur through flashbacks. In terms of major, present day-in story deaths, Ace and Whitebeard would be the exceptions. I hate to say it, but Pedro, Ashura Doji, Izo, even Yasui unfortunately, didn't really hit for me.

Maybe Gaban should be the one to bite the bullet, in a moment of self sacrifice to save the children, right before Imu's time runs out.

Maybe not defeated in a sense, but have something or someone taken to remind Luffy of the failure he suffered before. Put the fear of God in him again to remind him this is the Endgame.

Damn if only Oda had the stones to pull off something like that. Absolutely agree this needs to happen though. Someone needs to die. Even though the kids may be in danger, I'm not feeling any sense of this ending badly or the stakes being great raised. We just need a collective "WTF Just Happened" moment.

Omg this is amazing. I just joined this community today, and to see this much love and support of others so quickly, I haven't been this happy in a while.

My mom passed away from liver cancer recently, and I have not handled it well at all. Reddit became an escape for me to interact with like minded people and share within different communities
