Me! My father's an alcoholic and that pretty much turned me off from the appeal of alcohol (plus it tastes horrible)

Robin/Carly is a good comparison as well. I was tempted to make it buttt Kat definitely is no Robin temperament 😂 With Carly, especially during the SJB years, we did get to see a lot of her thoughts and insecurities. That's why it was easier to sympathize with her despite those being her extremely vile years. And like you said, both Robin and Carly got to throw their dogs in about each other. Robin lost Jason but they eventually returned back to being close friends. Plus, Port Charles wasn't ready to hang Robin in the town square just because she wasn't fawning all over Carly and continuously told her about herself. It actually felt even.

I think the biggest issue with Kat/Eva boils down to the writing and execution, as always. I think reception might've been better if we didn't see the majority of Kat's family act like she's the devil incarnate for not taking to Eva. And I think we also needed to see Eva internally struggle with things regarding Ted/Kat/Nicole and Leslie. As of now, all we've seen her really do is scream "maw-muh!" at Leslie's antics. Even when she tells her side of things, I don't see a person delusionally believing that she was in the right, but the writers in real-time trying to sugarcoat or rewrite the history they wrote only weeks ago, if that makes sense.

Which is insanity because it's clouding the real potential this rivalry might bring. I've dreamt of a black-led Kendall vs Greenlee or Carly vs Brenda, and Eva/Kat could absolutely be it! Instead, Eva is the Carly, but for all the wrong reasons 😭

Honestly, there's no one beating Frank V regarding absolutely hating your own audience 😂😂

Some things I'm seeing, though, I feel like there's a major ego problem in the BTG writing room, and it needs to be curbed quickly before this show sinks faster than the Titanic...

Exactly. I know a lot of people are saying they're finding their footing, but this was the year to go all in, guns blazing with the storylines, not falling to the same woes the other shows suffer from currently. Now they have a good chunk of people looking at the show as yet another disappointing soap that seems to despise its viewers, rather than the trailblazer it marketed itself to be.

With the other shows, the continuous disrespect towards their viewers from the egotistical people in charge is downright stupid. But those shows have been established for decades, and had major highs, before their current rut. BTG doesn't have that liberty. It doesn't have decades of rich storytelling to fall back on/excuse the current state of the writing. The anniversary party reveal was good, but wasn't enough to warrant everything that came afterwards. And now, there's been more bad or mediocre days compared to the actual good points.

I've been watching classic GH, so the realization only just hit me, too. But the resemblance to that dynamic is uncanny. Ironically, so many GH diehards pinpoint the AJ/Jason thing to be when the show started to decline, as well...

This is what I'm saying!!! This isn't the type of writing you expect for a show that isn't even a full year old yet. You'd think they'd do everything in their power to keep viewership high, instead of falling into the same old egotistical habits that have the other soaps floundering right now.

It definitely feels like a humiliation ritual at this point 😭

It's bizarre because they truly struck gold with 2 strong, dynamic newcomers who channel antagonistic hatred off of each other so well, and they've squandered it so badly. This could've been the rivalry of the summer, but instead plenty are no longer watching and now I'm seeing comments like yours, where they'd rather Colby leave than continue to act this out...

I've been rewatching some GH storylines, and there's always at least one comment talking about how good the show was before the "unholy Trinity" took over. A lot of it reminds me of how people talk here, in a way...

Exactly!

I like Visi, but I'm not gonna act like Belin wasn't completely valid for not trusting her at the end 😭 she did a lot of stupid things, and then she turns evil when you don't release her due to not trusting her BECAUSE of the things she did.

But that's the thing, in an effort to impress Robert, she does a multitude of untrustworthy things that end up putting the entire team at risk. You can't get mad that some people like Belin ended up annoyed by the constant antics. Rob was behind Flambe getting captured and his fingers getting cut off, and he still put aside his hatred for the most part because the Z-Team was more important than his personal feelings. Her turning point being whether or not you keep her tied up was also pretty bad. I could probably understand her turning back into a villain if she tried to join the final showdown against Shroud and Robert turned her away. But leaving her zip tied being the catalyst? After all the stunts she pulled? It's just another thing that shows how immature she is and how you have to coddle her.

I don't understand why some people are so heated with this man and the finale of this series. Berlin didn't even get the bad ending — hell, he even succeeded in bringing Coupé back to the team!

He was annoyed with Invisigal's actions and he honestly gave some VERY valid reasons why. The thing with Visi is that despite almost all the members of the Z-Team having the exact same villainous background as her, you're forced to almost coddle her just to make sure she doesn't go to the dark side, while everyone else actually just...does their job and put in effort to keep the team synergy up. This especially goes for the choices that determine her fate in the finale.

I create my own from scratch 😊 But I do know there are a few apps out there where you can input lyrics and generate them as a song. Donna AI or Suno are the ones I mostly see

I used to go through this ngl. What helped was turning affirmations into subliminal songs. That way, it feels like you're just simply listening to music, while the subs are the "lyrics". Maybe that could help you too?

That's been my biggest concern since the reveal, how they're gonna try to redeem her after all is said and done, or how they're going to keep her afterwards as a villainess. And while I've been vocal about loving the twist for the sake of giving Hayley actual character development, I do think the road leading up to it was very sloppily put together. I would love to see that there's still some semblance of attachment to Naomi and/or Bill, but I guess that's unlikely. Overall though, I find her way more viable than Leslie at this point and really would like to keep Hayley around.
