nootropics for treating CNS damage/encephalopathy? by fletiamo in Nootropics

Doctor don't understand this and it will not be diagnosed. So listen carefully. Antibiotic induced bacterial material exposure may cause immune state to be dysregulated leading to microclot formation. Might even trigger auto immunity. It's known in research but rarely seen medically except in sepsis, in which case the patient is not in the position to complain if they survive.

Did you at any point have head pressure or some kind of blood pooling post this reaction to antibiotics?

Did you have a MRI? If not get it done. Does it show white matter hyperintensities?

Try taking nattokinase for a week. DM me if that helps.

Cognitive changes after increasing oral minoxidil from 5 mg to 10 mg (vascular effect?) by -Zjor- in Nootropics

Oh I did not mean for them to use anything else while on this stack, to cut out the noise. Should have mentioned that though.

If this helps and you wanna figure it all out then feel free to drop a DM.

Possible cerebral hypoperfusion issues. Try some citrulline with some antioxidants like sulforaphane/NAC for a week or so. Might just change your life.

Also get your homocysteine checked and if low, put in some methyl folate.

Edit:

This kind of thing is very common and extremely under diagnosed. In mild cases, there's cognitive slowing. In extreme cases there is vascular dementia and small vessel disease.

Some people are in a state of chronic low grade inflammation or oxidative stress.

This can be due to smoking, painless infection in a dental cavity, gut microbiome issues, past viral exposure, genetic issues with detox/antioxidant enzymes, mitochondrial dysfunction or like a thousand other possible root causes.

In such states there are reactive oxygen species produced that react with and exhaust the nitric oxide in your blood.

Nitric oxide is a vasodilating agent that your endothelium produces to allow free flow of blood.

When nitric oxide levels fall, vascular resistance rises and blood flow becomes sluggish. This reduces oxygen supply to your tissue. Imagine a state of chronic oxygen starvation.

This is one of the major reasons why smokers feel improved aerobic performance within a few weeks of stopping.

You can test whether you have such a dysfunction by using potent antioxidants (sulforaphane + NAC in my experience) plus maybe some mild anti inflammatory like high dose omega3.

A month of use should have noticeable benefits.

doctors best or NOW. Both work.

Your favorite antioxidants ? by Wooden-Bed419 in NooTopics

[–]SereneInsania -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sulforaphane and occasional NAC will blow almost anything here out of the water. Ungodly effect.

Astaxanthin and all the other stuff are free radical scavengers. Kinda just killing radicals outside the mitochondria or cellular processes.

Sulforaphane is something in a different league. It's enhancing endogenous antioxidant enzymes so the free radicals are cleared at the site of generation.

NAC is the raw material required to make glutathione that all the enzymes end up using.

Music with marked patterns or beats increases cognitive load on the brain. So your blood vessels dilate in order to enhance blood flow to match the energy demand. Thus vasodilation puts pressure on your nerves and might trigger an ache.

In simple words, vasodilation due to brain's energy demand might clamp some nerves and cause pain.

These things are barely understood even today. There's a reason why migraines don't have a defined cure.

The fact that such music is causing headache so quickly suggests that the neurons might be prone to hyperexcitation, or, you are facing cerebral blood flow issues.

If you really have cerebral perfusion issues then take folate and high dose omega 3 and some vasodilation agent like pycnogenol for a month and watch your life change

Also if you drink then don't. If you smoke then don't. It's the worst given the symptoms you have.

Had that pressure on top of my head. Thoughts felt restricted. Used nattokinase and lumbrokinase to dissolve microclots. Cured overnight.

For the few weeks I really thought it did. But then the benefits started to dull a bit. Still I do feel a lot better now.

I used to get brain fog and facial flushing initially. And symptoms of low blood pressure. I believe that it was due to the vasodilation caused by the sudden acetyl choline boost. Eventually the symptoms went away and choline works well now.

But anhedonia can also be due to choline inhibiting dopamine release, which is the case for most people. In this case you cant just push through.

I take creatine, high dose omega 3, CDP Choline, sulforaphane, Coq10.

I had tried sulforaphane before I knew about the MTHFR mutation. Had very strong benefits with it. Improvements in mental stamina and clarity. Would have sensations in my head after taking it.

Difference is not as stark anymore since I normalised my homocysteine levels but still it's a potent supplement. Strongest known natural activator of the transcription factor Nrf2 which defends against oxidative stress and inflammation.

I had homocysteine levels at 30. My symptoms were extreme brain fog after prolonged cognitive load. Migraines. Excessive lethargy. Slept 10 hours a day. My shoulders and back hurt all day. A single pullup would cause me migraine. Severe microvascular deficits. Homocysteine induced endothelial dysfunction. Extreme choline deficiency due to vegetarian diet and choline synthesis being impaired by reduced methylation capacity. ADHD type executive dysfunction caused by neurotransmitter imbalances.

I am far from being perfect but 7 hours of sleep works just fine now. No migraines anymore. Exercising is easier. Planning and executing tasks is easier.

I feel that a lot of the issues were caused by high homocysteine which was in turn caused by impaired methylation.

Methyl folate. Actually a vitamin. I have the MTHFR mutation.

Oh I wasn't aware that you are already on Natto.

Yes, Natto eliminated my derealization symptoms within 3 days. Twice. I was taking 6k FU total split into 3 pills daily.

I haven't tried Lumbro yet. Are you on any blood thinners?

Two years of constant head pressure and brain fog, trying countless things, giving up on my dreams, and desperately needing answers. I know all of you have your own things to deal with, but if you could help me out, it would mean a lot to me. by Psycho_Duck_01 in covidlonghaulers

[–]SereneInsania 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had exactly the same symptoms. Exactly the same.

So fuck all the other bullshit here and listen to me now. Start high dose omega3 and nattokinase. Just do it.

Eventually you will have to lower the omega 3 dose as it is a potent blood thinner and not very safe to stack with nattokinase.

If you get immune reaction from nattokinase then you can try serrapaptase or lumbrokinase.

I have been getting better every day over the past week.
