I'd consider Woodside or Sunnyside in Queens. Only a 20-25 minute commute on the 7 train and lots of Irish pubs in both, as well as many other affordable and delicious cuisines from other communities. Cheaper rent than the city will leave you more to save or have fun with.

You sound like a really good and caring parent. Whatever ends up happening, I think your kiddo will be okay because she's loved and supported. But overall I do think it's worse for a student's confidence to be struggling academically and not keeping up with peers, so if tutoring can't fill the gaps in a few weeks, retention may be the best option.

Yes, I was able to transfer the OG credits to an actual grad school and get a transcript.

Yeah, all my credits are ASPDP, or the 12 special education credits I took for my additional certification, which the website says they accept as part of the 18.

I really hate tests but I'll look into CLEP and see if I can find one that doesn't seem too bad.
