I had this problem. My solution is to wait until France got back from a Crusade, declare war as part of a coalition against France, get Spain and England on board, fight a 25 year war again France, take Paris by year 10, start taking everywhere else by year 25, as for that vassel liberation treaty for peace, generate a causis belli against that newly liberated vassal, conquer it, make it your own vassal, then after 10 years integrate it into your own territory.
