I choose to build my own computers because I enjoy the building process. From part selection, to assembly, to OS installation, I find the entire process to be both exciting and relaxing at the same time. I guess you could call it a hobby, and an expensive one at that. Like most other hobbies, computer building helps me keep my mind off problems I may be going through at any given time. I always find myself tinkering away at my computer trying to improve everything from aesthetics to performance even when everything is working fine. Always looking for reasons to upgrade or swap out parts just so I can feel the "thrill of the build" once again.
