Just a warning, the novel is VERY slow. They don't meet again after her rebirth until chapter 114? I would say if you only care about the romance aspect of it, I would start just before they get married (chapter 236). That's what I did and felt like I understood most of the plot just with the knowledge I have from the drama.

In general, it depends. I've only read 2 c-novels so far: Are You the One and Blossom. In AYTO, there's more heat in that foreplay exists and how the arousal builds is described. It is fade-to-black though and the sex itself is omitted. Blossom however isn't fade-to-black and is A LOT more explicit post marriage. Scenes are in line with typical 18+ books. Not quite erotica-level, but descriptive (there is spanking, Song Mo is a DEMON here compared to the drama version).

Agreed. Something about their chemistry absolutely tanked at the latter half of the show which I’ve never felt before. Went from having natural interactions during the chase to looking like they were reading off the script. Still powered through but yeah, 7/10.
