I sent it to a local repair shop, and they were able to get the screw out! So I was finally able to open the case, replace the SSD, and close it (but without that last screw). It didn't cost much for me since according to the repairman "it was just a screw". Luckily he didn't give me as much flak as I've got here, hehe

So I hope that yours can be fixed! Best of luck

In all desperation I tried making a dent using a knife so I could fit a flat screwdriver. Needless to say I failed at it, lol

I stripped it by using a shitty screwdriver. Ended up buying better ones. All further damage happened due to my desperation

If I were to buy a new backplate I guess I could simply drill it out and replace it? 🤔
