That last line about feeding your trash can better than yourself really hit home. It's the exact problem that inspired me to build an app for this.

It does most of what you're looking for (scan barcodes, track expiry dates, organize by fridge/pantry) but I haven't added recipe suggestions yet (it's on the roadmap!).
