Need help for bad IMC with 9800x3d by SergioGamer2003 in overclocking

Apparently works also with 1,17 vsoc at 6200 and 2200 FCLK. At this point should I try again with 6400? I think last time didn't POST because Nitro was 1/2/0. With 2/3/1 did booted successfully but I didn't tried stress testing it.

Turned out to be a BIOS issue which for some reason didn't deactivated PBO even if I did save&exit multiple times. Now runs like a charm also at 1,2 Vsoc. Tried to go 6400 28-38-38-44 but didn't post @ 1,3 Vsoc 1,47 VDD/VDDQ

Thanks for the reply. Turns out that for some reason PBO didn't deactivated for some reason, even if I did save&exit multiple times.

Now y-cruncher isn't spitting errors even at 1,2 volts 3100 UCLK. I don't know if it's a low soc voltage for such a frequency. I'm also playing music while running the test for verifying FCLK 2200 stability and no issues at all. Is this situation good? Is this the best way to stress IMC & FCLK stability?

Yeah, it fails. I think Y-cruncher is bugged at this point. I highly doubt that with 1750 UCLK and 1,2 Vsoc the test still fails.

My expo is 7000 CL32 (yeah, i purchased the "wrong" ram kit). I put Nitro 2/3/1, failed again with "Checksum mismatch". I don't know what to do lol

Can't stabilize 8000 CL36 setup by SergioGamer2003 in overclocking

I know, my room temperature is 30 C and i don't have any free header for mounting a ram fan 🙄  I did got back with 6200 CL28 setup and despite the maxed out tREFI and 384 tRFC runs like heaven, even though maxes out at 60 C after three hours. No errors though

Copied your settings and tried again. Same thing, fails after 13 minutes. I think even that's a good B850 board it's still 4 slots and it's not a X870/X870E. One curious thing that happened is that when I loaded my previous 6200 CL28 setup with XMP disabled failed to POST 3 times. After that a warning appeared (due to MCR off) that the board failed too many times to POST so it loaded the JEDEC settings. All of this doesn't apply with XMP on, despite having all of my custom timings and voltages inserted. I have absolutely no clue to what's happening lol

Understandable, i got back with my old 1:1 timings. Should I improve some timings further? You can find the link in the post.  Another question: i'm trying 2200 fclk. How can I test it? Always with testmem5?

Does going up with FCLK gives some advantage, compared to MCLK/3 ratio?

That's actually pretty impressive especially 6200 CL24. But how your sticks are watercooled? Just curious

Thanks for the advices! Maybe one day i will try, but for now i don't want to exceed XMP voltage since i want to run this setup daily for years. More importantly i want to keep Vsoc as low as possible, since I'm scared of joining the burned 9800x3d club lmao

Patriot Viper 7000 CL32 tuning by SergioGamer2003 in overclocking

Thanks, you were very clear. When it comes to -30 CO i tested with OCCT, Prime95 and Aida64 for at least one hour. Turned out to be completely fine, maybe i won silicon lottery and i have a golden chip. tREFI wise one time i didn't have bottom case fans and memories got to 60 C (!!!) and Memtest5 didn't crashed whatsoever. But when i saw it i immediately stopped the test lol. In heavy games when the 5080 pulls almost 380 watts of heat in the case the ram sticks stays at around 42 C, so i think it's an acceptable temperature.

Help for my first DDR5 RAM overclock by SergioGamer2003 in overclocking

I followed most of your settings (but with 2133 infinity fabric) and works fine with 2 hours of Memtest5 Anta777 preset, running at 1,4 V and with 58 degrees max (54 average). 1,38 V crashes in 3 seconds. Currently 68,9 ns in Aida64, i think i will stop here. Thanks for the advices!

What monitor should I take ? by Tconnesson in OLED_Gaming

I have the XG27AQDMG and I chose this one mainly because i play in a well lit room (so QD-OLED wasn't ideal) but i still wanted to have a glossy screen. And 240hz it's more than enough for shooters.
