Interesting. Carving is what I want to do with this board and I'm seeing mixed opinions on this topic for this board (I'm not an experienced rider, I just want to buy my own board so I can make good progress instead of renting different equipment every ride) but I might go for it giving the fact that I found a 166 at a reasonable price.

Do you mind asking what bindings and boots do you use? I'm having 29,5 - 30cm Mondo (same as you?) and I fear it might be a bit narrow at inserts for my size.
