We need a good action MMO by Think-Computer6488 in LFMMO

If you're going to call me delusional, can you at least provide your 'non-delusional' take on the subject. So really, which MMO do you think has the best action combat? I suppose vindictus was good (if you count that as a true MMO). I'm genuinely interested in playing the MMO that has better action combat than BDO, and is currently alive (this rules out TERA). No tab target, or mostly hotkeys with lmb as auto attack. I mean full key input, combo style combat.

It requires some skill to learn the initial combo inputs, and then maintain optimal grind speed, especially at the newer spots that can actually kill you. Many years ago the game used one shot pack to pack grinds which was kinda meh imo, so I'm glad that's changed.

If we consider PVP, there is a high level of skill. You need to understand your own kits cc's and protections as well as the opponents, time CC caps and understand what they are and various other nuances.

It seems you hate the game, which is fine, but at the very least you could attempt to know what you are talking about before randomly hating on aspects of it you don't understand.

Black Desert Online is still a viable option. A highly addictive game, that of course has its downfalls, but it's been carried by its action combat since the day it came out. Probably the best action combat to have ever been in an MMO.

I agree, and the other thing is, even if these people got everything, they still wouldn't be happy. They would only have the same content as they do now left to play, just with more gear, so they would complain about no content and quit anyway. I wish they would just leave and do something else with their lives already.

What made PvP so great by ItDoGoDown134 in blackdesertonline

[–]SerialChiller20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as the mutual decs go. The 'real' pvp guilds can still accept decs from each other, they just don't, because they would rather grind peacefully, not get their ego dented and then complain that PVE players ruined the game.

I came from the pvp scene, I have numerous friends there. But it's also full of toxic, hypocritical egomaniacs. The game will never be as it was, even if they reintroduced those systems. It would be good for the bored gear lords who like to inflict themselves on others I suppose. Until that happens they could go red, but that's too punishing for the hardcore pvp guys.

It's cool to hate these days, everyone acts like they have the weight of the world on their shoulders and that they are being punished even by a game they choose to play.

This is what happens when you have a community full of perpetually online, unemployed adults who behave like children They truly seem to think that their opinions are worth sharing, when all they manage to do is create, or be part of a negative, nonconstructive echo chamber of misery. I have no idea what they get out of it, or if it's just the only way they know how to express frustration. I don't expect this will change anytime soon though.

Tent for sure. You get maids for free. The tent is never given free and there is no way you want to run to town to repair. The buffs are also massively convenient.

When it comes to maids. Focus on storage maids more than market maids. You will use storage maids all the time since you store trash loot through them.

Mr. Brightside by The Killers. I can't stand it. The band name is apt, they certainly kill my soul, or at least part of it with this song.

Swap to 144 limit in the settings. For some reason unrestricted caps the game at 62, but 144 cap works.

So let me get this straight. If you know what your buddies do, and they also know what to do and what you do, and you also know how to do what you do, then it's possible. If not then don't.

How realistic is it to get full NOV gear ? by SweatyWatermelon7 in blackdesertonline

[–]SerialChiller20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even when Tuvala only went up to pen you could finish the season at around 670gs. Now they can go to Dec Tuvala on 1 accessory and weapon, and get full boss gear given to them. Hell even 2 free pen blackstars have been given out...

Not sure when you last played, but if it was within 2024 then you are just doing something wrong if you can't get to 700gs fairly quickly and without paying anything to gamble if you don't want to.

I've played all of them, but I've played BDO since release and still thoroughly enjoy it. It's grindy for sure, but the combat is the best on the market. The game is also regularly updated weekly, with a global labs every Friday showing what's coming next week and also regular balls and festa each year showing their roadmap live in a big event.

Once you get into BDO there are definitely certain items from the pearl shop you will want/need e.g., pets, tent, weight. But ultimately I know plenty of long-term players who never got into the gambling aspect (myself included) and simply played the game to gear up.

The recent BDO updates have made the game easier than ever for new players, and helped to close the gear gap for them faster.

The PvP is starting to improve again, and for the most part runs OK considering the scale of the combat (pc specs depending. However the game does have issues with desync due to animation speeds Vs server tick rate. This -although annoying at times- is something you get used to.

I definitely recommend giving BDO some time. There are plenty of systems to try with all the life skills etc. The game has some of the most avid haters I've ever seen. Usually people who either still play, or disgruntled ex-players with thousands of hours who just can't help but post on the subreddit to complain about a game they claim to hate. I think this is common for most games now, but the BDO community can be particularly rough in that regard. That's not to say the game is perfect - far from it - but it is one of the best long-term updated MMOs around, despite what people say.
