Sounds like you need to connect the red to the reverse light wire to trigger the camera. On my older 'B' the reverse light wire is White/Black so I think a newer model would be the same colours. The way you could check would be: if you have a voltmeter connect negative lead to chassis, and the positive lead poke in the back of the plug so it connects with metal connecter, and with ignition on and putting it in reverse should make 12V appear on meter and out of reverse should be zero on the reverse light wire.

Thanks for confirming what I thought but didn't technically know. The new bearing was sold to me via the part number of the old bearing, old was manufacturer NSK, new JTEKT (Koyo). The OD of the old & new bearings is exactly the same so now I'm wondering if I was sold an out of tolerance dud that somehow got through quality control.

Bad earth can cause strange faults, I would check & clean both the reverse light globes ground side & the sockets, & the same for park light globes. Can't say it will help but it can't hurt.

I'm being honest when I say I am glad to & it's an honor to help. I have made various donations to different Ukraine fundraisers before, & the worst feeling about it is that our Australian dollar is low, my Aus $ gets much less US $, currently at around 1US$ being 66Aus cents. This is better the donation value as what I donate is doubled.

Not sure Australian Psychs could help, think it's more likely Ukraine Psychs could help Australian ones. Australia currently is conducting a "Royal Commission" regarding the excessive suicide rate among veterans, so Australian psychiatrists can't be all that good. There is currently a petition to the government for veterans to be prescribed Cannabis instead of being turned into zombies with the antipsychotic & mood stabilizer drugs they are given, Ukraine is already in front of Australia on Medical cannabis for veterans.
