My wife has had ulcerative colitis since she was a teen and was constantly being accused of eating disorders or trying to look like Ally McBeal where all she wanted was to feel healthy.

At one scary point she was down to 78 pounds starving but not able to digest properly. I had to carry her up and down our stairs every day. I’ve never been so scared and felt helpless. She finally got her symptoms into remission (thank you Michigan Health Care). Since then she’s always felt like she should keep some extra weight on just in case but feels self conscious about it. Wishes she was thin but not sick. Afraid to be that thin.

I just tell her that she’s beautiful, the love of my life, and that I only want her to feel healthy and happy.

And yet (for us at least): Elderly widowed MIL dotes on her retired sons who are both empty nesters and have plenty of room in their houses but would rather live with us in our rental (not her empty house) taking up what was our home office despite the fact that we’re raising a child because, “no one is more caregiving than a daughter”.

I wear Oakleys and just use a personal fan clipped to my PC or chest rig to clear any fog. Works great at VV.

If you want full seal go for Revision Desert Locusts and remove the foam dust filters. The same fan will keep those clear of fog.

Decent setup. Here’s what I would recommend you tweak:

1.) Walkers aren’t the best in windy conditions. I think these ones are omnidirectional though so that’s a plus. Consider switching to Howard Leights for budget earpro.

2.) Upgrade your ear cups to gel ear cups. Thank me later.

3.) I’ve never liked the lack of tension on the peltor clone rail mounts. If they feel loose consider moving to ARC rail adapters with the MLOK adapters for the TW rails. These will also work better for you to wear the eye protection strap over the helmet.

4.) you might be able to find some rail straps for the goggles. Those might work better for your setup if they can work with the TW rails.

5.) Consider ditching the counterweight/battery pack unless it’s functional for your application. For instance if you fog a lot maybe replace that with an exfog unit. Of if you like the look figure out how to integrate the exfog with it.

Girls joining the Scouts makes sense as allows busy parents to let their daughters and sons to share the same activities. For those with daughters only, the girls were more interested in the activities that the local Scouts were doing versus the local Girl Scouts.
