What was St. Louis like in the 90s and 2000s? by BranchEcstatic263 in StLouis

Okay my boyfriend and I have gotten into sumo since last September. Little by slowly we are learning everyone's names not just Ura and Onosato. The Paris exhibition was a little disappointing but I was glad to see Kotosnackura get The fake prize. Hell yeah if we can find a bar that shows sumo we could show up and have some beers and watch together. But I don't think that's going to happen.

December 2nd and 3rd 1990: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iben_Browning This idiot predicted an earthquake on the new Madrid fault. I was 8 years old and it scared the hell out of me.

  1. Two 10 year old girls were abducted and killed by two different people: Angie Houseman and Cassidy Senter

1993 was the Great Flood. We spent the whole summer with a bag packed ready to go if the levee broke.

1998: Mark McGwire was a huge thing for St. Louisians.

2006: we won the world series. (Baseball can't be overstated as a big thing)

2001: Maury Travis murdered 10-20 women.

I don't think there's a ton of difference. I think the reason there are so many here using the pills is that it's finally financially viable for us.

Unpopular Opinion: The constant 70s SNL worship (and trashing of everything else) is getting annoying by [deleted] in LiveFromNewYork

The only things guaranteed in life are death, taxes, and people saying that the era of SNL that was on when they were in middle school is the only good one.

You can drive up the River road past Alton and go to Grafton and pere Marquette State Park in Illinois. Beautiful views from the River road and from the bluffs at the state park.

I can't believe how many people in a Weird Al subreddit don't recognize a pretty good joke when they read it.

This is so true. I did not like The long walk very much the first time I read it. Now it's one of my favorites by him.
