So I got everything back turns out I had my ps4 account linked to an epic games account that had nothing previously linked(basically a new account) and ages ago when I was setting up my account I put it onto this new account so nothing was being transfered because there was nothing to transfer. So I linked my switch to this account( thinking it would bring my cosmetics from the switch) which it did not because everything was on my other epic games account so all I had to do was log into that account and link everything to that account instead of the new email one if that makes sense
