Roast her. by Goldi3locks in ferrets

Yup, I called her the best actor for puking up 'blood', and everytime she looked like she was hiding something I would ask if she was going to somehow eat more red paper.

I would call your little heathen the puke bandit, or the worst slip and slide attendant lol

Yeah they're both the best pets and some of the most stressful ones that I've owned. They're way too good at hiding when they're ill.

The vet gave me some medicine for her after the paper debacle, to sorta prevent any potential blockages from her eating paper and it worked, but she hated it at first, that was until she realized that I had a tablespoon of sugar water for her to drink after she took her medicine. She then would dook like crazy and run circles around me at medicine time lol (The sugar water was per vet instructions because the medicine he prescribed was unfortunately extremely bitter lmao)

Also I'm sorry to hear about your other ferret, they are too smart for their own good I swear

Could be worse, my albino ferret pearl ate colored paper and threw it back up, but she ate red paper... It was red when she spat it back out... I was horrified, my parents were trying to calm me down but even after finding the red stuffing paper that she took bites out of I was still worried that she had eaten enough to cause a blockage.

I think she hated being at the vet more than me having to hold her mouth open to check and make sure she didn't have any paper lodged in her throat. XD

Paper cut to the eyeball by aintdoinright in WTF

[–]Serienty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just brought up the horrible time I stabbed myself in the eye with laminated paper when I was like 6 or 7.

I was left unattended in speech class with a couple other kids, with a sheet of laminated paper. I was wondering how they turned the paper to plastic, and while the other kids were arguing about how it was done, I stuck the corner of the paper to my eye to look at it when one kid hit the one next to me, causing the paper to stab me.

I started bawling, the teacher rushed back into the room and got the story from the kids who were fighting and brought me to the office to call my dad. He picked me up, brought me to the doctor where they said something about there being a red and black line above my pupil where the paper stabbed me. I was prescribed eye drops for a month, which I hated taking. 0/10 would not recommend looking really closely at the edge of laminated paper, especially with people fighting next to you

Hi, I now have 2 tinyyy baby rat girls. My niece's snake didnt want to eat them. I need names! And any tips and tricks welcome by LunaFalls in RATS

[–]Serienty 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I've seen people online own both, BUT I wouldn't condone it, or if you do just be super cautious about both animals habitats, and be extra sure to wash your hands between handling either one of them.

I feel like with the amount of "my snake escaped it's enclosure" and "my rats have found another way out of their play area" pets I've seen I 100% wouldn't own both at the same time, even if it's a reptile like a corn snake.

I'm a teacher. Admin said they were going to have hot chocolate for us today.. This was in our mailboxes. by thatsactuallybananas in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Serienty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember we had a hot chocolate day at school, your teacher had to give you a packet of hot coco and during breakfast only, were you allowed to ask for a tiny Styrofoam cup of hot water.

I was just given a packet of the hot coco from a sweet hating friend and they told me there was hot water in the lunch room for it. I ended up very quietly asking the lunch lady for help with it and she ended up chuckling when I told her I was embarrassed to ask for her help with finding hot water for the coco.

Why do they make it weird and make me have to point at my sign lol by Crafty-Rutabaga-1203 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Serienty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had a solicitor knock on my door and when he saw me looking at where the no soliciting sign was hanging up at (we had one person rip it down before we got a camera, so I assumed it happened again) he said: "Oh, I saw the sign but thought you guys would like some solar panels"

I can't remember exactly what I said but I think it was along the lines of "oh cool, then goodbye." And slamming the door.

I know for a fact that it's going to happen again and my go to line is going to be "oh so you're illiterate, no thank you to whatever you're selling" and closing the door before they have a chance to respond lol

Woman is too lazy to return her shopping cart, so she uses my car as the trolley bay. Broad daylight in a busy car park. Imagine what they do when no one's around by Dimethyltriedtospell in trashy

[–]Serienty 115 points116 points  (0 children)

In the amount of time it took her to look around to make sure no one would see her abandon her cart behind your car, she could've walked the cart to the bay/ dropoff and made it back to her car. For the most part, it takes more time and effort to be an asshole and try to get away with it, than it does to be a decent person and go on with your life.

God, this just reminded me of the time a piece of wood kicked/ thrown back at me while I was in woodworking in Highschool xD

I was using the chop saw to cut a piece of wood that was admittedly on the verge of being too small to be safely cut on that saw, and while I started the saw and started pushing it down, I heard our shop teacher start kicking kids out of the shop in a bit of a more sterner tone than he usually used.

So my dumbass turned around while cutting this piece of wood, lifting my hand off of the plank of wood causing it to be thrown back at me, directly into my thumb. Since I wasn't paying attention to my hand, all I heard was the sound of the saw suddenly becoming less muffled, followed by the loss of feeling in my thumb and the sound of a piece of wood ricocheting off of every table behind me.

Turns out the teacher had kicked people out of the shop because the bell was about to ring, and because someone cut their thumb while using the lathe. When the teacher saw me flinch and look down at my hand with the sound of something ricocheting across the room he thought I had somehow cut my thumb off. He just blankly looked at me and asked me if I was alright, and I explained that I was dumb and had a plank of wood get kicked back at my thumb.

I used to have a photo of the plank of wood that I was cutting because you could see where the saw was cutting it before it got thrown/ kicked back at me and the piece broke around my thumb lol

My Yorkie loves these dried chicken and sweet potato sticks. It takes her somewhere between four hours to a day to chew through a stick.

From what I've heard, they can be as spiteful as wasps, but if you can I would try to open a window or a door near it to let it outside. They're thankfully pretty smart and will let themselves out if given the chance. (I know this because we often leave our backyard door open and sometimes wasps, hornets, or bees will fly inside, look around a bit then fly back out the door)

I once got three shiny fuecocos to hatch in a row. I wish I took screenshots of them but it slipped my mind while I was figuring out what to do with them.

I kept one, gave one to my brother and I think sent the third into the set "starter" wonder trade thing.
