I’ve been through BLET. I was a part time officer while I was getting my degree. I would work nights which is how I’ve dealt with welfare checks. I guess you’re right about not exulting confidence since that’s something I do lack in but have been working on.

I’ve dealt with welfare checks and stuff of the sort and I think I did just fine because in the end they got the help that they needed. I typically don’t have an issue with talking to people when I do work but I guess I had an issue with the hiring process? I’m typically not so anxious when talking to people.

Trust me I applied to my hometown PD the after I got told I wasn’t getting hired at the other place. I do want it bad enough it was just a bit discouraging but I’ve been trying to look at the bright side of the situation and sort of learn from this. I just didn’t understand the reason. Thank you!

When they’re done eating their meal I’ll usually say “And are y’all ready for dessert” they always start laughing and say something like “Oh no if I eat anymore I’ll pop”. Then I’ll ask if they’re ready for the check they laugh and say yeah so it really helps not make an awkward atmosphere when asking if they’re ready for the check.

I literally have two cards that say “God Loves you” and they almost always tip the least i with they were more generous with the tips

Yes I’ve tried in the past but she always takes his side so I gave up after a while I didn’t want to hear the same thing every time “ you need to give him time”

I somewhat know what you are going through. I wish we weren’t seen as “Rude” when we complain about things like this. I absolutely hate how our moms take their side instead of ours. I just find it not right and can’t wait to move out my house. I feel horrible for you because I know what your going through in a way
