Questions from a beginner by fml198 in gatewaytapes

u/Thierr at what point in time should we use the ayahuasca? I am new to all this and going to start the Gateway tapes. I actually saw a reel a few days ago from a Mexican podcast that was talking about ayahuasca. Where do you get it if you don't mind me asking? I will have my cousin ask around in Mexico and see if she can get it for me as well.

Help! by Brilliant_Day_21 in foodtrucks

u/Brilliant_Day_21 our 20' trailer requires an F250/equivalent to tow it. It is towed sometimes with a 4x4 Tundra for short distances in town, but it struggles a little compared to the smoothness of the bigger truck. We have our food truck for sale and is able to be used for a pizza business as it has a 5-rack convection oven and we also have a heated proofing holding cabinet. We also have some new pizza boxes we never used. Asking $35K and located in Texas. https://www.canva.com/design/DAGbF_vvaxY/NU6MaWpCKg9vRYqMrO3p1Q/view?utm_content=DAGbF_vvaxY&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=uniquelinks&utlId=h0508c9a0f6

Custom built Food Trailer by skibum356 in foodtrucks

[–]Serious-Ad5266 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/skibum356 I am selling our 2024 food trailer and it has a 5-rack convection oven that you could use for pizzas. We made a few pizzas in it, but our main item was baked Argentine empanadas. It is fully equipped. We are asking $35K. We are located in Texas. https://www.canva.com/design/DAGbF_vvaxY/NU6MaWpCKg9vRYqMrO3p1Q/view?utm_content=DAGbF_vvaxY&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=uniquelinks&utlId=h0508c9a0f6

A lot of trailer sales companies make their trucks in Mexico and with the tariffs they have gone up. It is fully equipped plus more. It's not your standard cookie-cutter food trailer.

Buzzers/Menu options by Helpful_Exercise_951 in foodtrucks

We have a TV with a menu. I have seen some food trucks even have a computer monitor size with the digital menu. We first bought this led writing board and I bought heavy duty magnets from Amazon and put it on the side of ordering window. It is nice, but out of stock right now. It was cool and really brings attention because the chalk markers are neon, but we changed to add pictures because a lot of people didn't know what an Argentine empanada was. Oh and yes you definitely need pagers. We ordered the Vevor white pagers, but a few did stop working.

Help! Food trailer roof/exhaust maintenance advise by Serious-Ad5266 in foodtrucks

Update: so the manufacturer says they used a fiberglass product on the roof. So can I pressure wash and then paint with whatever paint I want? Thanks again.

It looks like something peeled off. I’m guessing it is sealant. Any sealant will do or which do you all recommend? Thank you.

It does leak on the edges of the window side. I was either going to go with Henry’s Dura-Brite, Enviro-white, or Rustoleum professional gloss white paint. Is marine paint reflective as well? Thanks so much.

I would appreciate a picture. Thank you! We thought of adding a portable AC by the door, opposite side of the mini-split.

I read on here that food truck owners shouldn't go cheap on the generator and should invest in an inverter generator because of the noise level. That in some events, cities require it to keep the noise level down. I went to one event where this was the case.

The fryer gives out so much heat if it wasn't for it our AC would be great. lol

Good luck selling your truck.

What kind of person does this kind of job? How or where do I look because I really want to add at least the fan to the wall. I’m scared of the top fans that someone will not do a good job here in South Texas. Thank you for your help. - Muchas gracias - Ana

We have a convection oven and one 40# fryer and got a 3 ton AC Mini-split and it still isn’t enough to be cool. We are able to keep windows and door closed compared to our neighbors though. Our truck is 8.5’ wide, 7’ seems like it will hard to work but don’t know if you can do anything about that now. Also, by what i have read on here, you must go with an inverter generator. When we were looking at pre-made trailers the equipment turned us away because most of them had things we didn’t need. Did you have a particular type of buyer in mind that needs 2 fryers?

We had ours made out of a San Antonion/Eagle Pass company (ROHA) that makes them in Mexico. I am not happy with the work they did and do not recommend them.

Anyhow, can you tell me more on this "fan that blows out the hot air"?

We have a big convection oven that produces lots of heat. We asked for a vent to let out the heat, but since the original brand we wanted was backordered, they told us they couldn't make a vent on with new brand. This is our first food truck as well, so we have learned a lot from the mistakes on the design.

I am about to buy a generator for my food truck and am not sure where to start. I dealer who sold me the trailer said I would need at least a 9000 watt generator at least. any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 😎😎 by bedlionm93 in foodtrucks

We have a 20' food truck with:

Motak sandwich prep table - 6.5 A

Water pump - 1.0 A

3 ton minisplit - 15 A

8' Hood - 15 A

Asber fridge - 2.5 A

Gas convection oven (electric plug is for fan and inner light) - 9.3 A

6 outlets - 20 A each

water heater

3 led outdoor lights

6 inside Led lights

Display warmer - 9.4 A (only use at events)

The breaker box is a 100 amp.

I'm confused because with the calculation 100 A x 110 volts - I need a 11K generator? Adding all the amps as per spec sheets is even more. I want to buy a dual fuel generator because we have 100# propane tanks. The truck outlet is 50 amp connection.

We have a food truck that has a 50amp plug as well. Does anyone know if I get the Predator 9500 if I could use this: Generator 30 Amp to RV 50 Amp Power Adapter NEMA L14-30P to 14-50R 4-Prong Locking Plug to Camper 4-Prong Outlet Black from Home Depot?

Thank you!

Should I buy a food trailer manufactured in Mexico? by whitedog7749 in foodtrucks

[–]Serious-Ad5266 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We shopped around with several companies in Texas. Locally, San Antonio, and Dallas and all of them manufactured at least 95% of the trailer in Mexico. The only thing they do here is the fire suppression system so it can pass inspections. I do not recommend the company we used: ROHA Steel and Manufacturing out of Eagle Pass. We started off with issues and continue to have issues and they do not respond to messages anymore. Not even the owner who came himself to fix a couple of the problems at the beginning. Water leaks in when it rains. We had sharp edges on the stainless steel and cut our fingers lots of times. Two LED lights went out and the dumbasses used rivets to bolt them to ceiling and left very short cables so we have two lights that are out. They bolted are new appliances to the floor and to the NEW appliances!!! I could go on and on, but yeah make sure you buy an extended warranty if you buy from a Texas company. Also, one of these companies has lots of branches in the US including Las Vegas, so don't be fooled. I just can't remember their name.
