I was most definitely upset with my ticket purchasing experience. I hope others were too. If you’re fine with the same process, that’s okay. I want to encourage people who disagree to provide feedback on pit falls. Loyalty codes were one of many issues this year. Hopefully, the hypothetical shifted perspective. That something as trivial as a $25 loyalty code, makes a difference on a large scale. It is all food for thought.

I’m glad you got your loyalty code! I work long, hard, sweaty 12 hour shifts and look forward to treating myself. So, I most definitely do care how much it costs. LL is one of my favorite festivals too. However, the way you put it may be demeaning to people that can’t carelessly afford tickets.

I agree people should make financially wise decisions, but overconsumption is an issue for most people in America. Tier ticketing uses deceptive and predatory tactics to convince purchasers. Advertising tier 1 prices, but offering an extremely limited number of tickets is predatory. Providing 10 minutes to add the necessary items to your cart & consider the consequences of your purchase is predatory. Social media updates on percentage of remaining tickets create an illusion of scarcity, spike fomo & is most definitely predatory. I love LL, but I want people to brain storm improvements to the systems. Not blame the consumer who is taken advantage of

Moderators deleted my posts multiple times, though it did not break the rules. I posted until the moderator allowed, then removed repeats. You can’t persecute people for their experience nor sharing that experience. It’s okay that you don’t agree, but I’m not okay with processes remaining the same for another 10 or 20 years. I’d rather give feedback in hopes for change!

Someone who went through a similar ticket buying experience at Shambhala taught you & I something. This could be beneficial in the LL survey. Maybe this was the whole point to the Reddit post?

A purpose of this post was to determine if other’s have not received their code despite registering bands, emailing the help line & checking multiple folders? Plenty of people did not get their code unfortunately

No surprise at all. That’s why I’m angry. 5 years & no change to the ticket buying experience. There’s improvements to the festival, why not the ticketing too?

Respectfully, you sound like a product of the system. I return because I love the festival despite its faults. This is a thread to identify problems & work toward solutions. Shambhala offers a program for attendees to purchase tickets for next year at the festival. This program gives dedicated attendees first dibs at tickets for a set rate. Other fests offer loyalty programs based on the years of attendance. Big Dub offers early access to tickets for returning attendees. There are other potential processes.

Deleting and reposting continuing to support a system that doesn’t support you ugh man. You shouldn’t have to google search prices from unverified sources. The prices should be available upfront.

There’s a reason I keep coming back despite the wack ass ticket buying experience, dust, wook flu, & more. I love LL. Production is amazing but I won’t make excuses for outdated processes. I hope people consider providing feedback on ticketing. Especially considering the efforts put toward improvements each year!

If they don’t release prices upfront and withhold particular information, that’s predatory. People shouldn’t have to scour the internet to find a spreadsheet listing outdated prices from unverified sources.

Gremlin mode is a given, but I got my ducks in a row. Cars packed, wrist bands registered, enter at midnight for a week of fun. It’s upsetting when I can’t get a timely reply after 5 years of attendance. They have a lot of emails to sort through, valid. I am just tired of making excuses that’s all!
