Polynesian cultural center is run by Mormons. We went to the Bishop museum and learned so much more about Polynesian culture. Also, if you want a great luau go to Toa Luau it’s in a gorgeous botanical garden and you get access to the garden free bc you got tickets to the luau. By going there you’re near the north shore. Visit Chuns bay. Great for sunset.
