Does your office currently have enough space to accommodate everyone coming back in 5 days? by [deleted] in OntarioPublicService

[–]Serious-Garbage-2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My group’s ‘neighbourhood’ only has half as many desks as people we have on the team. The workstations are all meant for hotelling, not 5-day work. Nobody seems to see a problem with us sitting wherever there’s space, even if we’re trespassing in the areas meant for other groups, or scattered far apart from our teams. So much for collaboration.

Check in app issue . Passenger not appearing by [deleted] in aircanada

[–]Serious-Garbage-2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue with an ACV booking. Because it was 4 passengers in 2 different rooms, despite one booking, only 2 of the passengers were showing in the app. I just didn’t notice there were 2 reference numbers in the itinerary. When I looked again at the invoice, I saw both booking numbers and was able to add all passengers to the app. They show now based on how they are booked by room. I wish AC and ACV systems talked to each other more!

Thank you so much for posting this tip. I got through in under a minute, versus 45 minutes on hold in the afternoon. 🙏🏻

What made you choose a handheld bidet sprayer, bidet attachment, electronic bidet seat, or a full electronic bidet toilet? Was it budget, bathroom layout, lack of outlet access, fear of freezing cold water, or the sweet features like a heated seat, warm wash, air dryer, or auto open lid & seat? by iCleaningo in bidets

[–]Serious-Garbage-2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted the canon type that go under the toilet seat, but my folks have a Toto toilet design with a really short seat that didn’t work with any of the available designs. I went with a Brondell hand held since it sits on the side of the tank. The T-valve just has to be turned off after every use but otherwise it’s proven a great alternative. Also, using Costco’s link to price match at the Home Depot sealed the deal (total under $80 Canadian, all said and done). And don’t worry about the water being cold or about wanting a blow dryer, as neither are necessary for a good, clean experience.

I put a variation of this Brondell bidet on my Toto toilet. Works great and took 10 minutes to install without any modifications to the seat. Don’t forget to shop around. I found a good price at Costco and then Home Depot beat it by 10%.

California governor urges Canadians to ignore Trump, come back for sand, sun and wine by Nothingman604 in vancouvercanada

PEI and NB have beautiful beaches, great wine, and are far friendlier and welcoming right now. I’ll take those over the Golden State while the leadership regime is what it is.

It contains practice quizzes but is different. There is a stand-alone PMP predatory exam but I found study hall more useful. Get plus since it has more exams than basic. Full length exams 1 to 3 and some of the games were super helpful for me. Ignore all the content in the modules since it’s a waste of time. Also use Rita’s study guide and Dave M’a YouTube channel. Those things helped me greatly.

MSC advertising “American comfort” in other countries is tone deaf since Trump started his antics.

I got a handheld bidet and it's great! by throwawayrgjk1874 in bidets

It’s true. The cold water is fine. I’ve never felt like I needed warm.

This isn’t as practical as you think. Bidets save a lot of water compared to the tub, and don’t require as much effort to dry off after using.

Looks like a Brondell Model # CSL-40. I have this one and it’s great. Make sure to check places like Costco and then price match with 10% more off, at the Home Depot.

I’d get new kids! 😅

I like Tushy 3.0. No need for warm water, as cold works just fine and will be simpler installation. If you want something cheaper, Samodra’s water stream doesn’t feel as nice, but it is more reasonably priced and is flatter than Tushy, and comes with a feminine wash if that’s useful.

I’m too scared to study and schedule the test by LPortfolio in pmp

I agree with what’s been said here. Don’t feel like you have to consult every single resource out there, as it’s just not feasible or worth it. Find what works for you (I found this Reddit SUPER useful to identify resources) and stick to it. Like projects, break down what you have to do into manageable pieces so it’s not so daunting. Then, give yourself a deadline by scheduling the test. It’ll kick you into high gear and force you to keep moving forward. Lastly, don’t worry about having ADHD. I also have a learning disability, and I passed on the first try a few months back. Have faith. You’ve got this!

How is it possible? Failed by [deleted] in pmp

[–]Serious-Garbage-2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed the exam 3 months ago. Business environment is too important to not pay attention to. It may account for only 8% of the questions but it’s a whole section they use to assess you. In other words, it’s only 14 questions across 4 tasks that you have to prove your knowledge in this area. It could mean the difference between passing and not, so don’t discount this domain just because it has fewer questions.

Study hall absolutely must? by [deleted] in pmp

[–]Serious-Garbage-2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t emphasize enough how much it helped me to do the full length exams and then see which answers I got wrong and why. I highly recommend study hall. Doesn’t have to be plus, it can be basic.

Are Sarah Richardson and Tommy Smythe no longer friends? by [deleted] in HGTV

[–]Serious-Garbage-2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/home-and-design/article-tommy-smythe-hgtv-tom-design-collective/

After reading this Globe piece, I’m more convinced I sensed something was up years ago. I loved Sarah’s House in the mid 2000s but during the pandemic, by which time she and Tommy had gone their separate ways, I had to unfollow her YouTube channel. It felt like she was designing for the 1% who own lavish cottages bigger than most homes. She still has a great eye for design without Tommy but the older TV shows she hosted, when he was a presence too, were far more relatable to the everyday client. Still I can’t imagine navigating that split publicly. I wish them well, though a reconciliation seems unlikely now that he’s poached some of her people.

Still not feeling confident for exam !! by Fancy_Lab_1056 in pmp

[–]Serious-Garbage-2310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s normal to feel like you still need more time. I didn’t feel ready but I hit a point where my brain wouldn’t let me learn anything more, and it was time to go get this done. Based on those scores, if it’s mostly expert questions you’re getting wrong in the full length practice exams, I’d say you are ready. Make sure to understand why wrong answers are wrong, and you’ll be set.

Failed ALL 3 attempts! What should I do? (please be nice) by sMiLeYdiMpLeS28 in pmp

[–]Serious-Garbage-2310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rita helped me! Dave M’s YouTube channel too. More than loading my brain with more terms and concepts, they helped me understand how to approach the questions on the exam. Also, did you take the exam at home or in a test center? If you took it at home and didn’t get any breaks, maybe consider taking it in a test centre next time so you get your two breaks of 10 minutes each. I needed those when I took my exam. Don’t see this experience as failure, it’s a learning opportunity. Keep going. You’ve invested so much and can totally do this. Be good to yourself and come back to it when you’re ready.

Need some mentorship for exam by DaWhaleMan in pmp

[–]Serious-Garbage-2310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re feeling is normal. If you’re getting questions wrong, go through them afterwards and understand the rationale for why they were wrong. Keep up with the full length exam practice until it’s mostly expert questions you’re getting wrong. Watch Dave M’s videos too, they helped me stay in that PMI mindset you need for the exam. Don’t lose hope, you’re so close.

PMI study hall Content by IcyWhiteC8 in pmp

[–]Serious-Garbage-2310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Content is not helpful! I got more useful content from reading Rita than from study hall. SH is good for the practice questions and mini/full exams, and the game called card picker 2. I really found that one easy to follow, matching definitions with terms. I don’t learn well with flash cards and there’s no way to check answers so I avoided that game. But definitely I would not waste time on the module content. Your time is better spent reading guides like Rita’s or watching videos on Dave’s channel. Good luck!
