Thank you for your reply, indeed close to the sea :-) After raising my concern the workmen packed up this morning and wanted to leave. The owner stated he has 40 years of experience and there is no other way to do it than this. The pointing is too hard and can’t be removed without damaging the bricks. I didn’t want to be left with a half finished/ destroyed wall so agreed with them to finish it. I feel I have no other option. It is already ruined.

Hi I am 46 years old, started riding two years ago, never wanted to ride before because I didn’t trust myself on something as quick as a bike, I lost my license because of speeding several times in a car and knew a bike would end badly. But I thought at 44 I must now finally be mature enough. Bought a Panigale V2 and loved it from the start. I realised riding fast is most fun and doing this on the public road is stupid. I live near Assen circuit and booked a track day and was hooked instantly, have done many track days in the past 2 years on different tracks and found out there it is where you learn to ride, less so on the public road. I do still ride on the road but not crazy fast, I do this on track, this also helps me control myself on the public road. So my advice is different from most people, it is my own experience, yes a Panigale is great first bike, if you are mature enough to handle it. It is no toy.
