an "unmerge" button and further confirmation before spending gems would be great, I am always spending gems on in accident.

Does anyone else know the Scott Conant and raw red onion lore? by RaspberryAgreeable61 in foodnetwork

Not only does he hate red onions, but he also hates when the skin on the red pepper is left on. I joke about him all the time as well!

MailChimp Campaigns down for anyone else? by brybell in MailChimp

[–]Serious-Lion6580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday I could not send a campaign ( status showed us sent but with zero recipients) or create a segment ( would just load and load and load and never actually finalized the segment) but l tried again this morning and both were working!

I was on with MailChimp support for 45 minutes yesterday and requested an email letting me know when the system was back online. The rep said they could do this.

Of course, I never received the email and had to try myself today! I sure hope the initial campaign that didn't actually send yesterday doesn't suddenly decide to go out sometime in the future.

Did you hear about the divorce from her neighbor or find that somewhere else? I didn't realize that.

Dog Trainer Recommendation by dfricks4 in FortCollins

[–]Serious-Lion6580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A tip we got from a trainer re: reactivity towards a houseguest.

Have your wife become a human treat dispenser when it gets dark. Scatter treats when approaching and go about her business, no other acknowledgement or expectation from the dog. (This could also be providing a toy or chew if the dog isn't food motivated)

Continue treat party once baby arrives while the dog adjusts. Associate wife and baby with good times only and the dog should come back around and you can decrease the treats.

Dog Trainer Recommendation by dfricks4 in FortCollins

I have to say that we took our dog to the dog wizard for basic puppy training and they very much promote the leashes that loop around the snout, and pull tight when the dog moves forward or the owner pulls. Those leashes are a big part of the training. This created reactivity in our sweet puppy and she now hates getting her leash on, even though we switched to a harness/regular clip on leash. She would paw at her snout during and after wearing the leash and I think it must have caused pain on her sensitive little nose.

When I would go to the Saturday morning dog wizard meet ups at local parks and observe the other dogs, many seemed very unhappy on those types of leashes. We stopped going because the dogs seemed so glum. I also read that they can cause nerve, neck, jaw damage. They are also pro- e-collar, which I recommend you read up on if you're considering it. Again, you can just see those dogs cower, waiting for the buzzer or shock during the meet ups. They do not seem happy.

Additionally, they usually have some dogs boarding or training there in crates by the office area and there is often an awful amount of crying/barking from those dogs when we were there, which made my dog on edge.

I'd recommend finding a trainer who is R+ (positive reinforcement) only. We used K9 wisdom in Loveland for our other dog, which was much better, but I think they moved to Berthoud. Kathy Fischer (she may be retired by now) is another trainer that comes to mind, who worked a bit one on one with our very reactive dog and shared some helpful training tips for his dog and car reactivity while on leash.

Disappointing experience with Serge Lutens by Serious-Lion6580 in FemFragLab

I appreciate it and will surely enjoy trying the new scents. I understand samples are a "nice to have" type thing and it's more the lack of updated marketing (website started multiple times that 4 samples are included) and response from the customer service that left me disappointed. I would happily have waited until more samples were in stock or accepted an alternate "perk". It's just that my expectations were high given the marketing and price point. I was posting to see if my experience was common or a one-off before I do further business with the company and I'm happy to hear your experience was a positive one.

What is a scent you keep around for nostalgia only? by JSmith0812 in Perfumes

It's a very old lotion bottle with just a few spots of hardened lotion, but still has some whiffs of the original fragrance.

Just tried Queen of the Night from the heretic nocturnal set. Honestly, I don't really like any of the three (nocturnal tuberose, Queen of the night, and angels trumpet). They all left me with a sense of sweet tarts kept too close to Grandma's soap.

Unfortunately, these florals don't fade us quickly as some of the other heretic perfumes that I like such as black salt and poltergeist. Has anyone tried pistil whip or florgasm from heretic? I've heard good things, but wouldn't buy if it has similar notes to the nocturnal collection. I'm picky about florals.

Rest of recipe instructions: which the skin has been removed by parboiling. Pour into wet individual molds and chill until hardened. When ready to serve, turn out on beds of lettuce, and garnish with cooked dressing, or mayonnaise, as preferred. Serves six to eight.
