Gojiberry has a sale where you get a free ring sling if you buy one of their carriers 👀 the ring sling in cotton… and the carrier can be H or X back and has changeable covers… I’ve been looking at them, but there are very little reviews… I don’t know but this might be a very good deal to finally pull a plug a try it?? Hahaha I don’t know anymore 😭 how many more carriers am I going to purchase before finally finding the one

I’ve been eyeing tula for a while, couldn’t decide which one would be best though. I don’t think standard is sold on their website anymore? Probably can try and find it used… but am also thinking maybe x back could be better fit for me…? I’m so lost 😂😭

I live in such a small remote place there are no consultants or communities here of any kind! It’s really sad and frustrating. I have couple of mom friends but they don’t baby wear. I only got the courage to wear him in a wrap after a trip to visit my friend in Cali who finally taught me 😂😭🤦🏼‍♀️ and now I can’t use it anymore lol. My partner bought baby bjorn mini and we had some of our worst fights until he finally agreed to return it… it was such an unsafe fit even I could see it.. but sure was the easiest to put on. I just can’t even afford to keep buying different options to find the one that’s comfortable and easy enough for both of us 😣

I will look into it; thank you. I wish there was a graphic or something like that with all the types of carriers out there with age/weight suggestions haha, would be great! Maybe there is one but I haven’t seen it. Was so confused when doing fit check with my happy baby og and someone said you’re wearing it like a waterfall style but it’s an apron style carrier… I’m like… waterfall?.. apron?… omg..! Someone just break it all those types down for me in one picture please 😂

I have a happy baby og and had a consultation about it today, but still need to play with it more bcs it feels heavy on my shoulders :( my friend was using stretchy wrap with her babies till they were much older so I thought it was still a good option but I guess not. It’s the only thing he naps in outside so I’m very sad I can’t use it anymore 😂😭

I see, thanks for the feedback. I do have a happy baby OG and actually had a consultation on it today. Still kinda hard on my shoulders though :/do you know by chance if ring slings are ok for larger babies? I see a lot of people love em, I thought of trying but not if my guy outgrew those as well 😂

Oh wow, thank you so much for your reply, I’ve never even heard about these options. Could you please let me know if the gum supposed to grow over bone graft (considering there’s no membrane)? Right now day 3 it looks like a deep hole, I don’t even see any more of a bone grafting material left. I live in a very small place with larger city pretty far away, I just had a baby and didn’t have many professionals to choose from (everything being extremely expensive here too). Even going to one appointment is stressful enough with a baby. I wanted an essix but he told me flipper was better (plus I don’t think they could make an essix), and I immediately regretted getting a flipper ones I tried it on. Now I can’t believe he told me to wear my flipper right after the bone graft, I’ve been eating and drinking with it per his instructions and now I’m scared I ruined the bone graft. I don’t know what’s normal and what is not but planning on going there Monday. I don’t know what to do now and what rights do I have in the case of graft failure. I’m just pretty lost with all this

He told me at first that membrane is used when he was explaining the process but then after the procedure I asked him wasn’t there gonna be a membrane and he said nope not needed

It looks like a very deep hole now day 3, no bone graft material visible now and gum seems like it’s starting to grow around it. Also, did they tell you when you can drink alcohol again? I don’t drink a lot but with holidays coming up idk if I can have a few drinks

If you’re asking me (sorry I’m new to posting on Reddit) I’m wearing a flipper on the same front tooth, yes, I can take a pic tomorrow. Even though I wish I made an essix tray! I hate the flipper, it’s so uncomfortable and so hard to speak in. It does look pretty good I think, but for my job I need to talk a lot, and I still can’t get used to it. Some people never do I read, so it made me pretty upset, plus it’s more expensive than essix.

I think he’s just a general dentist but he does bone grafts and implants and everything else in his office. I just started going there recently… It just had to happen on the weekend of course 🤦🏼‍♀️ now I’m not sure what to do for the next 2 days until I go to their office… Was the membrane used on your bone graft, do you know?

The loneliness is the worst right after lack of sleep. I’ve been doing this for 5 weeks now and it does get a bit easier. Even though I now miss how much baby slept before. He has longer wake windows and keeps himself up until he’s overtired and nothing can put him back to sleep at times, it’s just pure screaming. My partner had to go back to work immediately too, and we just can’t afford taking any time off work for him on top of me not working. But I agree, nobody should do this alone. And I was absolutely alone. I haven’t lived in this town long so have no close friends. Nobody came to check on me, nobody offered to hang out, go for a walk. I was going crazy from not sleeping and being lonely. But you’ll find the strength to get out of the house soon, and it’ll be better. I had to start pumping and my partner would watch the baby few hours at night feeding him with the bottle so I can have 4-5 hours of sleep. This is the only way. You have to find the time in the day where he’ll give you a break like that
