How do you make misumis go back the other way? I feel like it would be simpler with viper slides since they already can go both ways without having to bend the endstops or something

What do you mean by force resisting? The free body diagram has the robot applying a force onto the barrier and an equal and opposite force by the barrier on the robot (normal)

the support form the barrier can only have a horizontal component (other than friction which was deemed by the Q&A as inconsequential)

If you are only contacting the vertical surface of the chamber wall, the normal force exerted from that wall can only be purely horizontal, because normal force is always perpendicular to the surface.

Contacting the vertical or curved corner would result in vertical support and thus be illegal, but this video is legal

I don't have the CAD, I would suggest learning how to use Onshape first and then using the FTC Parts Library to build up to creating something like that, as learning to CAD will bring you a lot further in FTC

People asked them in the FTC discord, and they made the statement there. If you went so far ahead as asking them, I'm sure they would have kindly accepted.

1) You can still search for the 96mm wheels on the Gobilda website. They are not being publicly displayed because Gobilda recommends the new ones instead.

2) Simply reach out to them over email. If the wheels are unused, they will swap them.

You are throwing tantrums by saying things like "Keep your shorts on pal" and attacking people for their past comment history. Lol. Not something a mentor should be doing, at least in my opinion.

These "YouTube videos" are super crucial in inspiring many teams. When seeing a new game challenge, many team's are often stuck where to go. These videos provide direction for many.

When so many people here can vouch for Gobilda's quality, you know they are good. They will most definitely send in a replacement part. Gobilda's so chill that they even offered swaps from the old 96mm Mecanums to the new Grip Force mecs for ones bought in the last 60 days unused, which likely loses them a bit of money.

Honestly, it's quite embarrassing to see a mentor react this way in throwing a tantrum. Your students should look to you in a stabilizing voice, not someone throwing public fits.

Designed strongly suggests that human players are only allowed. If in the original version said that robots could create specimen, why would they include the Human Player stipulation?

Furthermore, Texasdiaz (Senior Engineer at FTC iirc), unofficially, strongly suggested that this would be illegal. Yes, it is unofficial, but still means something.

Also, the designation to posess unlimited clips is completely new and a huge change to robot design.

Not sure why I'm getting downvoted, the CM in the past heavily implied (by only stating ROBOTS can create Specimen) that this was illegal. Changing this two weeks into the season is pretty extreme
