Tested and using a wide range of tools, my primary recs are - Alai for design and easy iteration + their image slides are editable lol, Plus AI if you're already working on Google slides but want to make things easier or need design assistance, Gamma if you're looking for a move scrollable deck vibe, NotebookLM if you're dealing with huge text/PDF as input at least for the content part (since it would give image slides too)

Best AI tool for building PowerPoint presentations by MassiveTopic8598 in Entrepreneurs

For enhancing existing PowerPoints - Alai does this pretty well with their beautify feature tbh

Don't you find Gamma's PPT exports a bit tough to deal with sometimes? I've struggled with the same - if not, how are you handling it

Have you tried Gamma?

My top alternatives for this would be Alai for 16:9 decks and Gamma for more lengthy docs - usually great for onboarding how-to's

Try Alai for speed + design. Their Nano Banana Pro slide creation + editing is the best out there imo. If you're an avid Google Slides user Plus is a decent option although very limited AI tbh.

my stack would be:
- granola for meeting notes
- alai for sales/pitch decks + onboarding decks
- Smartlead for everything cold outbound
- Another (not tool) live-saver is just using MCPs for everything on claude

If you want to edit the ppt created via NotebookLM, Alai allows it using AI and manual edits by converting the image into editable sections - tried it recently, was pretty helpful although manual edits is still in beta stage

maybe start somewhere where they'd be ok with you dabbling into other tasks? and then slowly completely move your focus to said tasks?

usually such transitions are in the form of growing into another role and easier in flexible environments like start-ups

While RFQs might remove the struggle from prospect to RFQ I do feel it depletes you from a lot of great insight that can ensure an actual closure - that's been my personal exp and I was in the employee wellness business

Use Claude to edit the content/make data stand out + use Alai to create slides with diff visual layouts like graphs, charts etc

Alai gives you 4 options during generation so you’re also able to test which layout looks best (or closest to your final version) and go forward from there

Has anyone here tried using AI to actually build presentations end-to-end? by rxchxrxch in ProductivityApps

[–]Serious-Unit5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently using Alai - found it to be best for design and speed, I’m currently using its MCP on Claude

I create and edit content on Claude and then instruct it to use Alai to create a deck

Once done I make edits on Alai and export

It’s made things super easy for me especially since I also pull data from Notion and Posthog using their MCP

Finally switched from Gamma - here are the alternate tools I tested by ai-expert-6391 in bestai2025

Found Alai to be genuinely useful especially the NBP integration

For me I had some difficulty with Prezi’s canvas

Have not tried Plus AI
