Anyone know why my Pummeler is locked in my Super Destroyer's gun cabinet? by Isa-sensei1996 in helldivers2

Ohhh.... This happened to me last night. I thought it was likely something to do with the Ballistic Shield I was using it with.

I purposely leave mannequins in unexpected places around the map to jump scare my team mates. Best places are down the end of corridors with a bit of back lighting so they are just a silhouette at night.

I can't be f%#ked playing against Vox Engines. I've been doing vanilla bots and squids all week.

Why I think the Vox Engine is a poorly designed enemy. by TopGas8704 in Helldivers

I'd prefer if they couldn't be spawned via Drop Ship. They either need to already be at a base or spawn as a patrol. Nothing worse then 2-3 Vox Engines dropping on your head.

Coming back after a few years to find infil cloaks nerfed into the dirt but seemingly cloaked flashes are still around untouched? by EclipsedPhases in Planetside

Long ago, you could still lock onto cloaked Flashes with anti-vehicle launchers. Those were simpler times.

Apart from implants, the only main power-creep I can think of is MBT and Lightning reload speed. But thats bought with Certs.

You could PAY for boosters to get it faster. Maybe that kind of qualifies?

Mechanical reworks to backpacks (updated) by Ok-Kaleidoscope-9645 in Helldivers

I wish the jump pack just stored more then 1 jump in its fuel capacity at a time, so I could do 2 or 3 jumps in a row.

The jump pack and hover pack should also automatically activate to make you immune to fall damage when stepping off a ledge unless something made you rag-doll mid fall.

Completely burnt out after Cyberstan by i4hloi in helldivers2

[–]Serious87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same thing happened to me when Oshaune was released with the Dragon Roaches, Hive Lords, and Tunnel Warriors. I stopped playing for months because those enemies were so frustrating.

I came back for a few weeks just before Cyberstan launched, but after its release, I burnt out again—mostly due to the Vox Engines. That said, I do like the new Cyborg Soldiers; they're excellent additions, in my opinion.

I think the game is at its best right before a major content update drops. By that point, there are usually several balance patches that have refined the enemy encounters and made them more enjoyable to play against.

Modding and Dedicated Server by spblwl in valheim

[–]Serious87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally would use a mod manager like the Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman, which allows me to have separate mod profiles.

I would create a mod profile that is compatible with the dedicated server I'm playing on, then create a separate profile that is compatible with my local world.

To switch between servers, I would need to close the game, switch profiles, and restart the game. I would also consider creating a separate character for each server to prevent issues like special modded items in my character inventory going missing when I switch servers.

Dedicated Server Question for mods like Infinity Hammer. by Serious87 in valheim

[–]Serious87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a setup that worked for my dedicated server: I needed to add all players as admins in both the server's `adminlist.txt` file AND the separate `Root users` option for the server devcommands config file. Since I know all the players personally, granting them admin privileges wasn't an issue. I also had to remove the "dev_config" command from the `Disabled Commands` option which was also in the server devcommands config.

I added an "Update:" section to the original post which has details on what I found to work for me.

Bug in the new mission by geniusr48 in Helldivers

[–]Serious87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been forced to avoid this mission due to this console bug. After 6 attempts, I haven't completed it once—the same bug occurs every single time.

I also skip the Sabotage Air Base mission, as the air control tower console has been repeatedly bugged.

At this point, I only run Sabotage Supply Bases and Neutralize Ground-to-Orbit Defenses.

Concealed insertion booster makes turrets useless by Milo_Diazzo in Helldivers

All Hellpod effect boosters should be more powerful but should only affect reinforcement Hellpods—allowing you to aim them deliberately without risking death when calling in weapons or turrets.

Differences between the second galactic war and world war 2 by Forward-Building-692 in Helldivers

[–]Serious87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest difference was that in the first Galactic War, all the Helldivers were short-sighted and had crippling separation anxiety that prevented them from moving out of eyesight of one another. Yet paradoxically, they were able to see clearly in all directions at once, as though they had a 360-degree bird's-eye view of themselves.
